CHAPTER THREE - THE FOX GRIEVES FOR THE RABBIT

  TianXia was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like there was a big weight he couldn't get off from within his chest, He felt hot. He could feel the sweat that continuously dripped off his forehead. His temples were in immense pain as blurred images flashed behind his tightly closed eyelids. From the images composition... it seemed to be the scene of his death...

  TianXia opened his eyes in shock when cold water was thrown on his face. He choked as a little water trickled into his nose, he sat up whilst coughing and wiped his face with his sleeves. He looked at his clothes, his hands smaller than what he was used to, the bed he was on... He really had come back in time.

  "Tch, look at you, aren't you breathing all fine? I bet you were faking weakness in front of ShiZun." An arrogant voice spoke out.

  TianXia looked at the owner of this voice. Lian JingHe. Still alive. And holding an empty cup meaning he was the one who woe him with water.

  TianXia's face twitched in irritation as he remembered the older JingHe, the one who cried and died a sad, miserable death. His fingers twitched and clenched as he flung his covers off himself and attempted to stand up. However the second he stood up straight, he also began crumbling to the floor.

  JingHe saw this and impulsively reached out a hand to catch TianXia's arm.

  TianXia's eye flashed at the contact. He grabbed JingHe's arm and pushed his body, causing JingHe to stumble and fall onto his back, the impact of hitting the floor causing him to swear.

  TianXia followed the fall and now sat atop JingHe. 

  "What the hell is wrong with you!" JingHe exclaimed, just as he was about to shove TianXia off with the gathered spiritual energy at his palm, he was violently yanked forward by the scruff of his collar. JingHe stared in shock into TianXia's eyes mere centimetres from his own. 

  TianXia's hands shook as he barked at JingHe, "You fucking bastard you dare!"

  JingHe, who was in utter shock muttered, "Last week you woke me up with a bed-full of toads! What's little cold water compared to that!?"

  "You... you promise me one thing right now!" TianXia shouted as he huffed in JingHe's face. "Never... never come to my grave!"

  JingHe's face scrunched up. Something's wrong with this one's head he concluded. JingHe gathered that energy one again and shot it at TianXia's abdomen. Causing the latter to fly back and hit the wall. Though with a rough grunt, TianXia stood on shaky legs and glared at JingHe.

  JingHe glared back as he spat at TianXia's feet, "Pei! What grave, are you dead? The what are you? A ghost haunting this place? If so, be gone!" JingHe, brushed his sleeves and prepared to leave before saying, "Hurry and dress, you need to pay respects to ShiZun for healing your fake illness." 

  Then, with a flash of a sword, JingHe flew out, the fluttering of robes following behind.

  TianXia lowered his eyes and sighed. This stinking disciple brother of his... such an attitude like this, how did it lead to his behaviour later on... "Hah... perhaps its a case of the fox grieving the rabbit when it's gone..." 

   TianXia had no desire to see JingHe like that again, it made him feel uncomfortable at heart. But now that he's come back in time... it's a chance to change things. He had but two things on his list of must do's in this life.

  1- stay alive.

  2- Ignore JingHe, ensuring he hates me as much as possible, make him stay away.

  TianXia looked at his unsteady, smooth hands yet to be filled with calluses from several battles as he thought... how hard could it be....

A/N - AWEEE... well it's a short chapter... cuz I'm busy contemplating how to conclude 'meet me on the battlefield' ...hehehe MUAHAHHAH
