Chapter 2: My Birthday Celebration

"Here is my gift."

"A phone?"

"Yes."

I sat on his bed. I was inspecting it when somebody called.

"Okay, that's my number. Let's take a picture together."

Wow, I really miss him a lot! I used the picture as wallpaper on my phone and computer. 

But, I am wondering about something.

"Onii-chan, when will you leave, again?"

"Do you want me to leave now?"

"Of course not!! You know how much I miss you!"

"I won't be leaving anymore. I will study in a university here in Japan."

"Really? You're not joking."

I smiled... so happy that I will be with him again...

"I am not. So be good, okay?"

He smiled at me.

"Onii-chan, I have another question. Why did you go to London to study?"

"Don't you remember? I was granted a scholarship to study there only until I have to enter a university." then he whispered,"And I am..."

But I didn't ask any question.

Mother asked us to go down to eat breakfast.

After eating breakfast, we went out. He used his bike and we played around like we used to do before.....

We also went to the mall where he bought a lot of clothes for me. Then we ate together in a restaurant. We also went to see the movies. After that, we went to the store and played games. Then we went to the akibahara, he bought me cd's of anime series. 

Before going home, we decided to go to shore and rest for a while. 

We've seen the best sunset.......... I closed my eyes and then I opened it again this time looking at the other people. I was alarmed when I saw sempai. I tried to hide and pretend that I didn't see him. But...

"Akiko Miagi!"

Brother looked at me.

"Do you know him?"

"Yes."

We stood up as he walks towards us.

"Konnichiwa, senpai."

"Miagi-san, who is he?"

"Ah, onii-chan, he is my senpai-- senpai Ken Yoshida."

"It's nice to know you. I am his brother-- Kazuhiro Miagi."

"It's nice to know you too. It's my first time to see you here."

"Yes, I just came back from London yesterday."

"Oh by the way, Akiko happy birthday."

Then, he gave me his present.

"Thank you."

I opened his present for me while they talk....... I did not know what to say when I saw it. It is also a phone.

"Anyway, we have to go now. It's getting late now. Good bye."

said my brother.

"Good bye, senpai."

We walked home while he holds his bike.

"So what did he give you?"

"uhmmmm... it's a phone."

He laughed and said,"So you have two phones now."

"Not funny. How am I supposed to use it?"

"hmmm.. You could use the phone that I gave you then if it in case it will be broken or lost, you could use the one he gave you."

"Yeah, I'll do that."

"How did you met him?"

"He is also a member of the book club and he was the president of the astronomy club."

"So because of clubs, eh?"

"Yup, he's 3 years older than I so he can't be my classmate."

"Okay....hmmm... Let's walk faster. It's getting late."

"Okay."

Then, he stopped walking.

"hmmmm?"

"By the way, I remembered why were you late yesterday?"

"I am sorry...." was all that I could say. I couldn't be honest enough to tell him that my senpai whom we just met a while ago made it hard for me yesterday. And the one who kissed me before I turned thirteen.

"It's okay. But next time, you shouldn't do that. It's not safe to be outside when it's already dark. You know how dangerous it is. And okaasan and otoosan, didn't know about what you've done. I told them, that you went home early and slept because you are so tired."

"Thank you onii-chan, I love you."

"I love you too my princess."

I hugged him and he place his hand on my shoulder as we walk home.
