It felt like I was moving in slow motion, as I turned my head just enough, to see a pair of black tennis shoes, slowly walking towards me. My eyes widened as I felt a pit in my stomach starting to form. I turned around, to see this slender, shady, darkly clothed person, walking towards me with a knife clutched in their right hand. I shrieked as loud as I could, while I sprinted away from the mysterious figure. While I was running, I could hear kids sobbing in their classrooms. They're gonna get killed if they keep crying like that! I thought to myself as I leaped for the stairs. I bolted down the stairs, occasionally skipping one or two, trying to escape the person. "Oh Delilah, come out come out, wherever you are..." the stranger called. How do they know my name?! I thought as I got an idea, they think I'm just going to keep running downstairs, or to the other bathroom... but what if I go up the other staircase on the opposite end of the building? They will continue looking downstairs, while I go and lock myself in the bathroom again! I sprinted to the front of the building and made a swift right turn for the stairs. I decided to tiptoe up the stairs, so my shoes didn't make much noise. I've had lots of practice going up and down the stairs quietly, from all the times I've snuck out, that this was a piece of cake! I was about halfway up the stairs, when I heard it again, "Delilah, come on, I'm not gonna hurt you..." I sprinted back to the bathroom, where I swiftly opened the door, walked in, shut the door, and locked it, all in one swift motion. Then, "Beep!" I got a text message.
