2 years. 3 years. 4 years. They sped past us everyday, always quicker than the last. His smile made my stomach tense with excitement. Was he the 'one'? Had I finally found what I was searching for?
He kept saying it was my fault. How? How was his decisions my fault? People have control of themselves, their thoughts, their...actions. Is it justifying to blame others for your mistakes?

When things get hard your first instinct is to leave and forget, it's easy that way. If the problem disappears so do the feelings and it's exactly what I did.

"Piper are you coming down for breakfast?!" My mom yelled.
"Yes mom! I'll be down in a second"
I sat up in bed grabbing the one thing i do every morning. My phone. My face lit up with the screen as I saw a message from him.

Sam: Morning m'lady x

He was always so charming, morning, day and night. Everything was going so well between us, even if we hadn't met before. The pictures he would send me were even better than the last, always smiling, always leaving an impact on my heart after.

"PIPER!" my mom yelled getting annoyed.

"I'M COMING!!!" I yelled back even louder. I looked back at my phone and started to type

Piper: Good Morning to you sir x

We had a thing where we would sometimes speak formally and see where it led, most people would find that weird but to us it our cute little thing that no one else had, kind of like our own sanctuary with words. I sighed with a smile and made my way downstairs.

"Finally, the older you get the harder it is to get you out of bed" mom explained.

"Mom I'm only 19"

"Exactly and I still have to call up for you to come and eat in the mornings"

"I don't need you to call me, I have an alarm on my phone" I said with a hint of irritation. She never believes in what I do or what I want. She judges every move I make and after 19 years each year gets worse.

"So, what's for breakfast" I asked my mom as she sat down in front of me

"Cereal is in the cupboard where it's always been and milk is in the fridge" she said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and got up to make myself some breakfast. As I was listening to the sound of the cereal hit the bowl, my phone made a noise. My head turned sharply, seeing my mother looking over my phone.

"Who's Noah?" she asked a little concerned

"Uhh...just a friend no need to worry" I said trying to salvage any hope of ever speaking to him again.

"A friend? I've never heard of him before? Does he go to your school? You better not be sneaking around" my mom pleaded.

"Jesus! Mom, calm down he's a friend okay?! That's all you need to know stop controlling me" I snapped back.

"I'm not controlling you I'm protecting you. Bring this Noah over I want to meet him" my mom said. 'Yeah me too' I said in my head.

"Aren't you working today?" I asked her avoiding the subject of Noah.

"No, not today which is great I've got so much to do here" she explained. My mom never takes a break, she will always find something that needs to be done around the house, I think that's why she's so high energies about my life, pure boredom of nothing else to do but clean and get involved in everything.

The morning went by quickly. I only had one class in collage today and that was already over. 1pm. What to do?

"Hey Stranger!" I heard behind me.

"That was really creepy" I said laughing seeing my friend Lauren there.

"What?! No it wasn't" she argued.
"Anyway! Wanna grab some lunch? I'm hungry and Kyle's gone home for the day" she asked

"Sure why not! Why has Kyle gone so early?" I asked. Kyle was the third part of our friendship triangle.

"I'm not sure said he has something to do and rushed off home" lauren explained.

"Well that's pretty weird, not at all like him" I agreed. At that moment my phone pinged again. I pulled it out and looked at the text.

Noah: Did you forget about me? :(

I instantly remember I never text him back after my mum started snooping.

Me: Oh!! I'm sorry my mom started snooping and then I rushed to collage for class. Don't be sad I could never forget you XD xx

Noah: You're an unforgettable one too xx

"And that is?" Lauren asked peeking over my shoulder.

"NOTHING! No one!" I said panicking. I hadn't told Lauren about Noah, I know she's my friend but she can be so judgmental at times especially when it comes to boys. If she were to find out that I'm talking to someone I haven't met, hell will be risen from below.

"Wow! Ok" she said holding up her hands as if you surrender.

"Sorry, my mom has been snooping at my phone and now you are I just want my space" I explained.

"It's cool, I get that. But I will find out what you're hiding" she said in an humorous evil voice. I rolled my eyes and we went to grab lunch.

6pm. I was working on my assignments that I had gotten from collage when my phone started ringing. I didn't recognise the number, my heart fluttered in the moment thinking it could be Noah. We had never spoken on the phone before, we only ever spoke over text message. He has my number he's just never called. I calmed myself down and answered the phone.

"Hello" I said.

"Hey beautiful" a deep voice replied. A smile formed on my face before replying.
