Kitchen Fork

Chapter 1

 The city lights keep light from entering the vision of the city. In a lone street, a lynx is walking home from a long night of working, she has some earbuds in and seems to be listening to music. She is white with navy blue freckles covering her cheeks, two golden eyes, ears dark grey and the insides a navy blue as well. She has a blue hoodie on and some faded jeans. This is Koi, our protagonist, She is in her late 20s and enjoy calming walks at night and works at a bookstore cafe a few blocks away so she can easily walk to and from home.

She's getting close to her apartment building and the door she often enters is through an alleyway connect to the side of the building where stairs are located. She turns the corner into a dimly lit alleyway, stuffing her paws into her hoodie pocket she grabs her keys and approaches the door, she clicks it into the keyhole and turns the handle unlocking the door and swinging it open. She notices how dark the stairs are, odd but not too odd since the owner of the building turns the lights off at 10 pm but it's currently only 9, must have done it early is all.

She is about to enter the door when she stops and notices someone is covering the light that was beaming into the apartment just moments ago. She quickly turns only to get hit on the left side of her face by a heavy metal bat, her vision blurs as she hits the ground being knocked unconscious.
