She sighed and said «You already know the answer. Why bother asking?»
«Cause I'm in charge of you.» I stated
«You don't have to actually do that. Just act like you care etc, in public, in front of the school staff. No need to force yourself.»
I rolled my eyes «I'm not forcing myself, I've been grown like this. I've been taught that if I'm older I have to take care and look out for my dongsaeng. And you happen to be my dongsaeng AND my roommate that I have to "help".»
Lalisa changed the subject «In a couple of days it's my birthday, do you and Chaeyoung wanna come?»
«You can make birthday parties here?»
She shook her head «No, but I'm Lalisa Manoban and just like whoever want to properly celebrate their birthday know how to reach that goal.»
«So are you and all the people who will join your party gonna break rules?»
She nodded «That's inevitable.»
«Then no. Sorry but we won't join.» I stated as she hummed
«As you wish, thought you should keep in mind that sometimes it's okay to break the rules. And if you do, trust me, you won't regret that.»

«It's okay to break the rules Chu! Or else life would be so soooo boring!» my best friend said
«But Priya, my family and especially my grandma will get mad at me!!» I said pouting, she took my hand
«Let them. Don't you also want to play like all the children of our ages? Trust me, you won't regret that!»

My eyes widened again, another flashback passed through my mind. Even Pranpriya was like Lalisa in this, breaking the rules to be able to live.

«Unnie, my invite is still there if you two change your minds. If you're scared to end in troubles, I will make sure you won't. Or at least I will try. Jennie and the others would do the same. You know, people like us, no matter how we are seen, always look out for each other, cuz it's only us that we can trust in a world full of injustice and freedom killer.»

Killer. Murderer. Lalisa Manoban murdered someone.

That came back to my mind as I started feeling uneasy, yet, as I looked at her, I could never link her to the word murderer. I could place other labels on her, but never something like that.

«Shit...» she muttered
«Language!» I scolded her, when then I noticed the cause of her annoyance «You can place me down.»
She ignored me and said «The elevator is broken, we gotta use the stairs. Please don't move too much.»

Are you deaf or did you just ignored me?

«Put me down Manoban, it's not a three stairs thing.» I said for being ignored once again, as she started going up slowly, biting her lower lip most likely in pain, her plump lips parting to take deeper and bigger breaths, her enduring, focused big eyes, her nose sometimes scrunching for something I didn't know, small droplets of sweat forming on her face, no intention of losing this challenge.

I never payed much attention to her let alone to the details, but now that I did, I could agree with everyone else who stated her beauty.

But in that moment what was getting my full attention was her health. She was punished even today adding more pain to her already pained and bruised body, it was March so it was hot, she was bringing two school bags and me from 10 minutes already and now she was going up three floors of stairs, she could have fainted or fell or hurt herself somehow.

We were just at the first floor, our room was at the third, in between the stairs were a lot, no kidding.

«Hey Lalisa, for real put me down. You might collapse or something. I can walk, you just need to help me.» I told her, concern evident in my voice, yet, I got once again ignored as step by step, she slowly kept going up. Her skin red and sweaty, her body definitely pushing beyond her limits, her breath heavy and quick, her face tired yet still determinated to reach her goal.

Sure Lalisa Manoban was someone full of surprises. Or maybe not if you knew her.

«Lalisa. Lalisa! Lisa! For real! Put me down! You're overdoing!» I scolded her and saw her smirking and shortly saying
«Look who decided to finally call me Lisa. Are we getting closer unnie?»
I rolled my eyes, it really wasn't the time for being annoying «Why can't you listen to me?»
«Hardheaded is my middle name. Lalisa Hardheaded Manoban.»

I really can't change your mind uh?

As we reached the second floor, Lalisa's legs were trembling and slightly bent, yet I still didn't see any sign of resignation.

«Yo Lisa oppa! You're gonna steal even more hearts like this! You're hot! Literally. And I mean it in every way.» a girl even taller than Lalisa said

Lisa oppa?

«Oh Tzuyu! Am I that attractive right now?» she joked laughing, as if she wasn't exhausted
«Totally. Need some help by the way?» Tzuyu offered with a smile
«Naaaah, all good thanks.» Lalisa shook her head «Though, can you confirm me if Kookie and Tae are really a couple? I've been told so.»
Tzuyu laughed «Of course they're not! Or else Jungkook wouldn't still be my crush. By the way unnie, why are you carrying that unnie on you?»
«Oh, her?» she made me bounce once a little «She's my roommate Kim Jisoo, she hurt her ankle quite badly so, ya know, I'm following God's teaching to help one another.»
Tzuyu looked at her in awe «It's so great to see you say this unnie. It means that you really aren't a lost cause.»
Lalisa chuckled shaking her head «I'll see you around Yoda. Tell Jihyo that apart from not minding a second time with her, I would like to talk to her.»
«Sure unnie. Be careful on your way up. Some stairs are quite slippery, I've heard that Yugyeom felt sick and threw up and they just ended cleaning.»
Lalisa hummed «Thanks for the heads-up and good luck with your crush.» she winked and Tzuyu smiled bowing.

How many friends does she has exactly? I keep hearing to stay away from her, yet, she doesn't look like someone to avoid... Isanghae...
