~15 minutes before~

EVI P.O.V.
I continued running until I was out of breath and far from my house.
I stopped running when I heard a girl scream. It was was coming from the alley.
I rushed into the alley to see what was happening.
"Leave me alone!" screams a girl who was being cornered by... Lucas.
"Leave her alone!" I yelled out.
Lucas turns around and smirks. "Well, if it isn't Levi", he says grinning.
Oh how I wish I could punch that stupid grin off his face.
I was still crying from before, so he noticed that my eyes were all puffy with tears coming down from them.
"Have you been crying?", he asks while laughing. I ignore his question.
"Let her go you bastard!", I yell out.
"No. You want her come get her", he says with his big smile.
I run and punch Lucas, making him fall over a rock.
The girl looks at me full of fear. "It's ok, i'm here", I say.
Lucas gets up and wipes the blood off his lip.
"You son of a b**ch!" he yells. He swings his fist at me, but I just dodge all of his punches.
I then swing at him, but he catches my fist.
He kicks me in the gut, so I fall onto my knees holding my stomach in pain.
He gets on top of me and grabs my jacket collar.
He starts to punch me while laughing. "Leave him alone" yells out the girl.
She picks up the rock that Lucas had tripped on and hits him with it in the head, knocking him out.
I spit the blood out that was coming from my mouth.
I groaned in pain, only making the girl run to me.
She helps me sit up, "Are you ok?", asks the girl.
Her eyes meet mine.
They were hazel...
They were... beautiful.
"Ya i'm fine", I say looking into her eyes.
We stare into each other's eyes for a few seconds, only having me look away.
What am I doing? I put my head down feeling a little embarrassed.
I turn back to her and see her blush a little. She's cute...
"Are you ok?" I ask.
"Ya, thanks to you", she says with a smile.
I blushed a little seeing her cute smile.
What is wrong with me? How is she doing this?! Focus Levi!
I snap out of my thoughts and introduce myself.
"I'm Levi".
"I-i'm Haley", she says. I hide a little smile after hearing her stutter.
She sticks her hand out for me to shake. I shake her hand, and she helps me up.
"Thanks", I say as I fix my shirt and dust off my pants. I see her staring at me but I just brush it off.
"Well Haley, you better get going, the suns almost down and it's not safe around here at dark", I say as I look at the sun setting.
I turn back to see her glancing at me.
"Um... Haley, you ok?"
"Oh um... ya i should get going" she says looking down.
"Will you be ok?" she asks.
"Ya i'll be fine."
Haley starts walking away while I wave goodbye.
I turn around and walk the opposite direction.
I hear Haley stop walking and she says, "Thank you Levi."
I turn around to say your welcome, only meeting her face a few inches from mine.
She goes in to kiss my cheek but I accidentally turn my head and our lips connect....
We pull away embarrassed.
"I'm sorry," I say.
She just stands there frozen, "it's ok."
She just gives a small smile and runs away blushing. I just stand there in awe while blushing madly.
What the hell did I just do?!
As I see her figure fade from my eyesight, something hits me hard in the head.
The last thing I hear is Lucas's voice say, "You bastard," and he walks away while I black out.
