Jojo😜❤ is typing....

The notification popped up on my phone but I ignored it and watched outside the bus window as we went over the usual bridge. Under the bridge was about twenty to fifty ft. deep water.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't creeped out by it.
'It' being the thought that any minute now-

cracks and screams before disaster shattered my ear drums and I could only think of one thing

"DON'T SCREAM HOLD YOUR BREATH!" I shouted to anyone who'd listen as I opened my window and a two others as quickly as I could

The feeling of the impact from the water was..Bad? There's no way to describe it..I wasn't focused on that though, I was focused on my siblings first.

Tori and Douglas listened to me, because they were still holding their breath as the water sunk in around them and the other kids.

I took my brother's hand and pushed him out the window first because he knew how to swim. Then once he got out I helped Tori because I was confident in Douglas's ability to bring her to the surface.

I felt my lungs get tight. I was desperate for breath but I needed to help as many people and children as I could.

I swam my way to the front where the bus driver had already pushed open the door and was trying to help the smaller ones. I let down a few windows and helped to push more out

A few of the kids were injured and it was heartbreaking to see

Some of the Seniors and Juniors were helping freshmen out then exiting through the emergency exits.

Nice Job

My breath was faltering so bad. I just wanted air so bad..Wait nevermind I'm getting it. Some light too. I must've made it up to surface or something already. YES! I SINCERELY HOPE I HELPED A lot of people. Now I can go home and tell Lily..

......

Has air always been this suffocating before?

It has right?.. Good...

Some Heart Breaking News today as we step onto the scene of a bridge falling through,  and a bus falling with it. About sixteen highschool kids, seven middle school kids, and maybe ten of those in younger categories were on board when the incident happened. Lucky to report most students were able to make it out with injuries, minor injuries or just in desperate need for air. Trevor, how do you feel, being a survivor of this?

"Honestly I'm shook up..B-but I'm really changed too. Coming so close to death and seeing my life flash before my eyes led me to feel more greatful for the life I have...And the people that are in it..I don't know how I of all people on that bus managed to be spared, but wow.."

Thank you Trevor..Go rest easy..Now, let's take a moment to go through the list of pour souls who weren't as lucky..

Nicholas Nelson

Chelsea Brown

Asia Winfred

Genesis Clay

Joshua Bagwell

Kaiden Thompson

And their bush chaperone, Mrs. Pamela Owens...

The loss of these good people will surely ring throughout the community and schools, as it will their families. Please be sure to pray for them and keep them in your thoughts. Thank you.

Author's note: 555 words (besides this note at the bottom.) I'm proud of how this is turning out so far. I hope whoever reads this gets the same enjoyment and will stay tuned for the next depressing parts of the story.
