love, it's a bit weird isn't it?

for me, it's sitting on an old bench by the river, laughing for hours and hours on end over stupid little things, like how the old man in the bandstand is playing the harmonica or how that duck has a weird look on its face.

it's trips to the zoo, shyly holding hands in that godforsaken bat cave and hunting near and far for the lions and the elephants.

it's laying in a hotel bed, trying to pluck up every ounce of my courage to make that first move, the first move that really, really counts. The one that'll be remembered months after.

it's six hour FaceTime calls where we don't even speak, just finding comfort in knowing the other person is there, listening to my gentle snores when I fall asleep way too early.

it's funny, witty texts. laughing for hours over something the other person said and remembering it months later.

it's even seeing small things that make you think of her, everywhere I go I'm reminded of her. I see her in little things, like pikachu and anything pink and fluffy.

she's on my mind constantly, my rock, my home. she keeps me grounded, she keeps me sane, she keeps me going, even on my darkest of days. she's my ray of sunshine.
