A/N: All the first seven or so chapters are very short - So I hope that's not a put off, but I will be trying my hardest to make the next ones longer. I'd appriciate no more comments on length, thanks all:)

Belle's POV
--------------------

The pink mist soon vanishes from around us, but it has done nothing - or so it may seem. I turn to Rumple and as I do, I take a step back, then stand infront of him.

"My darling, Belle." He says quietly, as if he were meant to say it to himself. He then turns around and puts on hand on my shoulder before continuing. "You have to tell me what happened to you," he stares at me with guilt in his eyes.

I take a deep breath, as I remember back, all those years ago to when she took me. "I was abducted..." I start.
But before I could continue, he states "Regina."

I nod a little, to show he was right and then speak again. "She locked me away, untill her curse, and I've been in the asylum ever since..."

"For twenty-eight years?" He growls angrily, evidently not at me, but for me.

Again, I nod, this time it upsets me a little and I look down as I fight back the tears without him knowing. Seconds later, I look back up, just to meet the same annoyed expression to his face.

"All these years, you've been here... Alive!?" His voice raised a bit from the anger. Then it comes to me, pretty quickly. He's angry, outraged maybe. That "magic", is this the reason?

"Is that... Is that why you did this?" I stutter, turning my head a bit in confusion. "Why you wanted magic? For revenge?" My face and voice still both full of confusion.

"No, no." He says sneakily. "But it might come in handy." He adds, with his same old attitude.

"No.., NO!" I almost shout just to put my point accross. I don't want him to become like that. I don't want him to stoop to her level.

"I cannot let this stand, Belle." He says calmly. "I will not let this stand!" He then argues back, a powerful rage in his voice.

"Look." I grab his hand and look into his eyes, I need him to listen, I need him to understand. "Promise me... Promise me that you won't give into your hate. Promise me you won't kill her."

He looks up with a please-don't-do-this-to-me facail expression, he wants to hurt her so bad, he's not understand me, I need to get him to understand!

After some thinking time, I finally come to a conclusion of what this could do and how I can get him to listen. Get him to understand. "Promise me... that we can be together." As I the words come out of my mouth, they trail off into a whisper as I don't want the tears to release. Watching Rumplestiltskin, I can see the tears building up in his eyes too.

"Oh" he says under his breath, wanting to say more. He lifts his hand and rubs it against my cheek. His touch, his human skin, it gets to me, the tears become more visible as I try too hard to keep them back. Moments later, he continues with as many words as he could get out before the water would spill from his memorable brown eyes. "Sweetheart... I promise."

The words fill me with joy, but the tears are too close to falling for me to jump with joy. A smile plants on my face to show him that I am happy. And with that, he leans in and our lips are touching once again, taking me back twenty-eight years. This time, it was different, he was more... human this time around.

As our lips come apart, I look up at him, the smile on my face grown from last time. No rage this time. I keep my arms around him and put my head on his cheast. Finally, I've got what I've been waiting for all this time.

What seems like hours later, he pushes me back lightly and places his hands on my shoulders.

"Come," he says, smiling. But there's something behind the expression on his face, there's guilt and sadness in there too, but I don't let that get in the way of things right now. "I'm taking you home." He says, then creating a real smile. And with that, we walk off, heading towards my new home.
