I lay alone.
this is a lot of information to take in at once, i thought i was the last Altean to still be alive, i'm back on my home planet, which i thought i'd never see again (i thought Zarkon blew it to smithereens) after my parents shot me thousands of galaxies away, during the war between the galra the alteans and i'm half altean, half human. i've come to realize i need to hide the marks underneath my eyes using foundation but now i'm home, i don't need to hide them anymore! even if i'm one of the 3 remaining alteans, but still! i'm so happy about it, so the only way i got here was because of mullet. i'm honestly super grateful about it, i didn't expect me to feel so happy because of something mullet did. i think i'm the only 'technical' alien here(not counting allura and coran) i got here with Shiro, pidge, hunk and keith, i sigh at his name and sit up in my bed quickly "i don't like him at all." i whisper to myself as i look around my room just to be sure no body heard me.
i slowly lay back down and shut my eyes slowly continuing my thoughts but yet again they get interrupted.
"Lance?" i hear a small voice, it's pidge and her cute little voice
"what's up pidge? i jump up from bed and to the mirror i've got quickly covering up my altean marks
"nothin much, can i come in i wanna talk with you." she squeaks from the other side of the door
"sure! give me a minute and i'll open the door." i say slightly smiling at myself in the mirror as i become happy with how i covered my marks, i hide the stuff and get up to open the door letting her in "hello little birdie" i chirp mockingly at her
"oh shut up" she giggles out slightly giving me a shove before coming in. "it's a lot isn't it?" she asks me quietly as she looks at the bayard she brought in with her. i slightly choke up
"yeah. it really is.." i smile at her slightly before sitting down onto the bed
"being pulled away from our families and earth by a humongous blue lion, and it all happened so fast." she says slightly tearing up before snapping out of it "oh! the real reason i came in was hunk said food was ready and he wanted you out there!" she chimes as she perks up and smiles
"alright, i'll be right there, you start heading out there" i say happily before she leaves to (i assume) go get keith, because i didn't hear his boots grumpily smacking the ground as he walks past my room. i get up and walk out to go into the main part of the castle where we'd eat.
keith's p.o.v
i sigh sitting in my room quietly, looking at myself in the mirror thinking about my other side.. the side nobody but me knows about. the side i try and hide from everyone. i'm half Galra, and no body knows it, sure i've got this mark on the side of my face but i just say it's from fighting, of course Lance doesn't believe me, but that's because he's sort of stuck up. this one voice just says "and adorable" but i freeze up and hit the side of my head "no he is not." i whisper and jump at a knock at the door, "who's there?" i grumble out
"Oh keith, it's pidge, i was just coming to ge-" i cut her off by opening the door loudly slamming it to the side
"huh?"
"well, mister snob, i was trying to say i was coming to get you for food, so come on!" she snaps at me
"don't be a smart ass pidge." i growl but also chuckle
we walk out into the main part of the castle where hunk is going to serve food. i see him, Lance, why am i feeling some sort of way towards him?? don't i hate him? yeah, i hate him, more than anyone else in this castle but damn, he's cute. god what am i saying he's not cute! stop it keith, you're gay, but not for that dork, plus i'm 90% sure he's straight but-
my thoughts are cut off by him coming up to me
"what are you staring at mullet?" he says through a smirk. i think he saw me looking at him, shit.
"i'm just spacing out, nothing much, dont worry king lance, i'm not staring at you" i put my arms up in exaggeration, he chuckles at this. God that was cute. what am i saying?? you. don't. like. lance. or do i..? no. no. no. nope. nah.
"don't act like i didn't catch you staring." he says as he walks away from me
