Then I blacked out.

-----

The air felt heavy and steaming hot today, and I mean more than usual. Global warming is seriously messing up our environment.

I unlocked my house door and threw my bag on the couch. Another painfully tiring day at medical school.

Despite already having more than enough money to last me quite a while from my game I still aspired to be a doctor.

My house has been quite dull and being for the whole year, the countries never come to visit anymore. Usually they would pester me to visit them in their world.

But then for a whole year they stopped showing up completely. I never checked up on them. But it's not like I didn't care, I just felt like they were busy with all the global warming problems that were rising up.

And I didn't want to disturb them.

I'm starting to miss having them around to keep me company. My sister doesn't visit either, she can only visit when the other countries visit too. Since they're busy then she must be stuck there.

I grabbed the remote that was placed on the coffee table and started skimming though channels for anything interesting to watch.

"Global warming has struck its highest point so far, water is disappearing and the countries seem to be at each other's throats because of this-"

I widen my eyes in shock, if that is happening to the human world then it must be ten times worse in the countryhumans world.

My feet unconsciously take me to my bed room where a large backpack laid there, my room was a mess with clothes scattered everywhere. I must've have taken my trusty backpack out of my closet without noticing.

I always have this backpack ready for when they decide to drag me over there. I don't really want to burden them with providing me the things I need so I bring them myself.

I haven't used this backpack in a whole year, I miss it's familiar scent.

Immediately I flung my backpack on my shoulder and stormed out my bedroom door.

I clutched my locket tightly, despite not using it at all for the whole year I never took it off. It was just too precious to me.

I closed my eyes with the desire to return to that world, the locket started to emit a (F/C) glow before it swallowed me whole.

When I opened my eyes I wasn't in the Countryhumans world but in my sisters dark and black space.

I scanned the room for my sister, "Amber? Amber? Are you there?" I called out with no prevail. It just seemed quiet and lifeless here.

"(Y/N)?"

I turn towards the source of the sound, I then see my sister. Her amber red eyes glowed in this dark space, it was reassuring.

"Hey Amber, I'm sorry for visiting the others, they must be really busy but I couldn't help but worry about the global warming problem.." I slowly pulled my sister into a hug, I haven't seen her for a whole year.

"You're... here...!" She exclaimed, I pulled myself away and gave her a reassuring nod.

I felt like I was being sucked into a black hole, Amber reaches out her hand but I had already fallen though.

My eyes then shot open,

I was in... my house? But how? I swear I pressed the locket hard enough to return to the countryhuman world!

I trudged out the door while still tightly clutching my backpack. It was exactly the same as New York except... there were no humans?

The dead silent streets were a new sight considering New York is always busy.

I was beyond confused, I decided to walk around and see what I could find.

The lights were all off, like the whole city had been deserted.

My feet took me to a familiar park where we all used to hang out sometimes. The large oak tree in the middle swayed around like it was dancing.

I could hear the creaking of the swings, not only that but the birds were still here while the humans were not. My gaze travelled to a bench in the park where we always sat.

Instead there sat America.

"Meri?"

He immediately turned towards me with a shocked look on his face. "(Y/N)?" He raised an eyebrow in disbelief. I ran over to him and tackled him in a hug, "woah there slow down."

"You guys haven't visited me in a whole year, and with the global warming problem I got really worried so I decided to pay you guys a visit!"

I pulled myself off him, he picked himself off the bench and stared into my eyes. "I hope you're not mad.." I averted my gaze as my face burned a bright red color.

"I'm winking beneath my sunglasses by the way," he clarified, I chuckled at his jokes as always. "Anything new?"

"Oh well quite awhile ago, very embarrassingly I fainted in a meeting because of a heat stroke," he rubbed the nape of his neck.

"Oh my god-" I snorted. "Hey hey! It's not funny! I already drank a whole cup of water and yet that still happens,"

"I mean I guess the weather is just getting worse," he ruffled my (H/C) hair. I noticed he was wearing a black suit and tie, which was very odd considering the scorching weather.

"Oh this? I just came back from a meeting," he pointed at his outfit as he noticed I was staring at his clothes all confused. "Uhm... do you mind If I have a hug?" He welcomed me with open arms, I smiled warmly at him.

"Sure,"

I hugged the taller country, he felt very warm. he pulled me in tighter with just one arm.

Then I heard something break.
