Prompt: You Die. As per your nerdy request, your tombstone is inscribed with "GAME OVER, CONTINUE?" with a little slot for coins. one day, someone puts in a coin and you suddenly burst out of your grave. From writing.prompt.s
I stare at this grave that caught my eye as I was walking through the cemetery near my house. I can't stop staring at it because of the inscription. It says something you would normally see after you die in a game, not in life. and funny enough there's a coin slot asking for a quarter. I mean might as well. I think I have one in my pockets. With a quick movement, it slides right in.
I sit and stare a little longer, half expecting something to happen but nothing does, obviously. Jeez, it must be getting late I mean the sun is already setting, I'm just getting delirious. That's got to be it.
"Um who are you?" did I... just... hear someone? Turning around I see someone sitting in front of the grave.
"Ah, who are you? when did you get here?" And what the hell is going on?
He responds disgruntled, "My name is Peter... Peter Reilly. Now answer my question, who are you and what year is it?"
I stand stunned. Peter Reilly is the name on the grave. Did that inscription seriously work?
"Dude answer me! what the hell is going on and who are you? Year?"
"Oh uh sorry but you are him?" I say pointing to the grave.
"Holy sh*t. I am. Am I a zombie now or something." he looks like he's going into shock or something.
"its been 23 years according to the date on your gravestone. And the names Gale." God, it feels weird to talk to someone about there very own gravestone.
"And do you feel the need or want to eat my brains?"
"No, I don't but nice to meet you, Gale."
Author Note: So yea I know it says your the dude that pops out of the grave but I didn't want to write it like that ok. So I'm probably gonna post these completely random. Also if you want me to do a specific prompt or something send it to me and the account or person that made it. Gotta credit ya know.
