Luna sat upon the clouds, watching from above. Her mother would be full tonight, and hopefully, she could finally step foot on the earth. Just for a little bit, to feel the grass.

Luna, it's time.

Luna stood upon her cloud, and sighed heavily, granting pristine skies so the wolves will have her mother to cry to. Before she could fully compete the circle, her cloud broke apart. Luna's eyes widened in terror at the sudden unstable state of her cloud, had she drawn the circle wrong? She had done it by memory as she had since she was little, there's no way she could've messed up now. Her cloud then began to dissipate, causing her to close her eyes and focus on keeping it under her, though panic rushed through her being.

Mother, my cloud - it's dying!

The gentle puff of air which held her in the sky and linked her to her mother disappeared, Luna fell from the sky. She reached out for the moon, her mother, their fingers brushed against each other, and the moon saw as her daughter slipped through her fingers. The moon could only call to her daughter, panic and sadness bleeding through her voice.

Luna crashed into a lake, the cold water enveloping her small form. It soaked through her clothing and chilled her porcelain skin. Her vision had gotten spotty, blurry as she sunk down to the bottom of the lake.

Mother..

When Luna woke up, she felt something nudging her body gently. A small groan left her lips, and suddenly she began to vomit water, her eyes burning slightly but it was something she could get over. Luna coughed harshly, pushing herself up off the ground and whining softly. Her body ached severely, it almost felt like she had fallen off of a cliff and hit solid ground. When her eyes finally adjusted, she saw a furry creature, only for it to run off at her sudden movement. Once Luna had pushed herself onto her feet, she found that she wasn't actually use to walking on her own legs. With a deep breath, she surveyed her surroundings.

Trees. She was in the middle of the woods, on the bank of the lake which she nearly drowned. Luna was scared, sure it was daylight and not many things attack during the day but she was without her mother and she was alone. Luna swallowed her breath in fear, hugging herself tightly as she began walking forward. Her steps were hesitant, bare feet causing the leaves to crunch under her, the sound making her body shiver in uncertainty.

A small yelp left her lips when she heard the sound of twigs and leaves breaking under heavy steps. Her ocean eyes widened when a large animal emerged from the trees, shaking the leaves from its black coat of fur. A wolf. Her eyes lit up, yet fear gripped her once more when the wolf bared its teeth at her, she came to the realization that it didn't know who she was - rather - who she was related to.

"Wa-wait.." She stumbled out, holding up her hands to show that she wouldn't hurt him. "My - my mother.. she is the moon..." When she noticed it's ears twitch and the growling stopped, relief flooded her system. At first she was scared the wolf wouldn't believe her, she was relieved that he did. The wolf began to shed its fur and she cried out, squeezing her eyes shut at the sight.

"You were the star that fell." The sudden voice caused her eyes to open. Instead of the wolf which stood there, it was a man. He was tall and lean, hair dark as the night sky she was so use to being in. "For the first time in history, we heard the moon cry." Lunas eyes widened at his statement, they had heard her mother call for her. The wolf gazed around before holding out his hand, he noticed as her eyes shifted from his hand to his face. "It's not safe out here for you, I'll bring you somewhere where it is safe."

Luna took his hand, watching as it engulfed hers. A squeak left her lips and suddenly, she had a face full of fur. She watched as the trees rushed by in a blur, the green blended together almost making her dizzy. "Where - where are we going?" Her voice was small yet it still managed to reach his ears, he shook his head, as a way to tell her he couldn't answer and she kept her mouth closed as to not disturb him.

Upon reaching the building, the wolf slowed to a stop, lowering down so the girl can get down without falling. Lunas eyes scanned the new area, the house was immaculate. "Come inside, you'll get sick in those." She nodded, following after him. She was hit with sudden cold air as she entered, making her sudder as the cold air clung to her damp clothing. "I'll find something else for you to wear, as of now, follow me."

Luna was lead into a bathroom, it was large. Something she had never seen before, in the clouds, she bathed in the early morning rains. "Towels are there," he gestured towards a cabinet, before continuing, "take a bath or shower, whichever you prefer. I'll knock twice." She nods, taking time to process the small bit of information he gave her. She was more trying to figure out if she could actually trust him, her mother told her that all wolves adore the moon yet Luna always thought that in a group of good there is always evil.

The sound of the door closing pulled her out of her thoughts, Luna took this time to gaze at herself in the mirror. Her white hair was dirt covered, clothes stained with mud along with her skin. She untied the top and let it fall off her form, exposing her skin to the cold air. When she turned on the water, a small squeak left her lips when the water came rushing from the shower head. Hesitantly, she placed her hands under the running water and sighed softly. Luna had stepped in fully and sighed again, letting the water rush over her skin, washing the dirt off her gently. She felt more relaxed, calm. . sleepy. However, sleeping wasn't an option. She had to get home, to her mother.

Luna had stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel from the cabinet and wrapping it around herself. When two knocks had sounded, she lifted her head in response. "I'm wrapped up." She announced, and the wolf had opened the door, setting down some clothes on the counter for her. "When you're ready, maybe we can talk." She nodded her head and he closed the door as he left. Luna began to dry herself the best way she knew, usually the clouds would dry her, picking up all the moisture so this was new but the towels were so soft. After she was dressed, she stepped out of the bathroom, sighing softly as she headed in the original direction the wolf lead her in.

"E-excuse me? Mr. Wolf?" She called out, and stepped from the hallway, flinching softly as the sun had shone on her through the wall of windows which revealed the back yard. A small gasp left her lips at the sight, it was beautiful, the sun illuminated the place beautifully.

"There you are, Falling Star."
