we fell in love in April

chapter one

He liked her hair. As a ninja turtle, had no hair. But he loved the way hair looked... felt... smelled.... or rather, the way her hair looked and felt and smelled. He imagined running his big hands through her soft ginger hair... but alas.... it wasnt meant to be

Aside from her obviously being a different species from her, she was in love with someone else. He would have to wither away from his unrequited love. He knew he couldnt take this pain much longer....

"Whatcha thinking about?" A chirpy voice interrupted my brooding.

"Oh! Uhhh April! Hi!!" I awkwardly stuttered. She turned me, the smartest of the ninja turtles, to a babbling mess. "How are you going??"

"I'm good. I just went on a date with Casey "

My heart. stabbed. You might as well call me julius ceaser. I swept my head away to hide the tears in my turtle eyes.

"Oh" i said dark and broodingly.

"Donnie, whats wrong?"

I couldnt hold it in anymore. I jad to tell her.

"Whats wrong  is that i love you, April! I can treat you better than that gap toothed jerk can. I would die for you and you treat me like I'm not even there. I want to hold you in my arms when you cry and dry your tears!! I want to laugh with you, hold your hands, love you and have you love me back. I love you April. And i can't stand seeing him love you the way i want to."

"Donatello..... I'm so sorry... i had no idea...i... cant be with you though...you know i love Casey..."

"I'm going" i say, beginning to walk away

"W..where?" I look back at her. Her voice shakes and her eyes are filled with tears

i sigh.

"i though you were bruh. but it turns put, youre just fam..."

And with that... i left
