"Heeey Emma?" I turned to my Burnette friend smiling brightly.

Her chocolate eyes fell on me with a not so entertained look. "You need the vocab don't you?" I nodded my head and she handed me her paper.

"Thank you! You're the best! I love you! I don't know what I'd do without you!"

Fianlly, a smile was placed on her lips. "You'd be failing without me."

The bell rang for us to go to lunch. I picked up my stuff and started to head out of the class. "Bye Emma."

She waved in response and we went our separate ways.

I walked through the halls waiting to cross paths with my best friend. Honestly, she was one of the only people at the school I could stand for longer than an hour.

I decided to get an energy drink from the vending machine, in the main hall, as I waited for her arrival. I put in a dollar fifty and pressed D1, a Kickstarter came tumbling down. As I bent down to grab it I heard my name being called. I looked over and saw Jaden with a terrified look on her face.

I grabbed the drink and stood upright. "What's wrong? You look... paler than normal."

"You mind not sitting at the corner today?"

I eyed her suspiciously but nodded. "It's not like I have friends I'm ditching over there. Well, besides Jane."

She avoided my gaze. "Actually about Jane..."

My eyes widened. "I thought you two were cool again. What happened?"

Jaden put a finger up and we started to walk  mindlessly through the halls. "Here." She handed me her phone. "Scroll down, when you're done tell me I'll switch over to the worst thing."

"That doesn't sound too good." I scrolled through the text messages. I finished and felt like face palming. "She's mad at you because you said that you might be able to love her again and you haven't?" I handed her back her phone. "Why doesn't surprise me?"

"Hold on, hold on. Let me show you what's really throwing me off." She changed the screen and gave me back her phone.

The screen read: "If you don't love me that's fine! I guess I'll just have to make you~"

My eyes widened and my lips were slightly parted. "Talk about a real life yandere..." A yandere is basically a guy or girl who is so obsessed with their crush/lover that they are a little psychotic if you put it lightly. "You need to report this."

"I don't know... what if she was joking?"

I stopped dead in my tracks and grabbed my burnette friend by the shoulders. "That didn't sound like a joke and even if it was that's not a very good one." I sighed. "You don't have to report it right away but if something happens we're going to guidence. Whether you want to or not."

She forced her lips upward and spoke. "Thanks, Evelyn for the talk. I needed someone to listen."

I reached up and patted her on the head. "Of course, that's what I'm here for."

"Evey your ponytail is messed up let me fix it." Jessica stated from behind me.

"Why? It's for a sport it's going to get messed up anyway." I looked at her pleating eyes in the mirror. I sighed. "Fine go ahead."

She brightened and fix it for me. "Much better, you should really wear it like this all the time. You look adorable!"

"Alright! Enough play time get on the field we're joining the boys today!" Our coach, Courtney Rayle, announced into the locker room.

We made our way out of the locker room and onto the field. We gathered together and the inevitable already started to happen. All the friends from the two teams started chatting away.

"Soo Evey which one of these hot guys did you talk to today?" Jessica bent down and wrapped her arm around me.

"It was Leon the one with the orange tank top." My gaze fell on him as I was talking.

Jessica then grabbed both my shoulders and spun me around to face her. "You mean to tell me that you interviewed the star offensive player in the whole school?!"

I slowly nodded my head.

"Wow how did it go?"

"Fine, why?"

"Never thought you two would meet eye to eye. I mean it was just an interview but he likes to make conversation." She was taken aback. "You two are complete opposites. He is chill, tall, and doesn't mind the spotlight. Then there's you, you're a short, angry girl who absolutely hates the spotlight."

"Okay for one we didn't get along that well and two don't call me short I'm not short you all are just giants!"

"Salem!"

Shit. I turned to face the male voice. "Yes Coach Savage?"

"Since you feel the need to shout maybe you'd like to lead the stretches." His arms were crossed over his chest giving me a glare.

I gave a side look to Jessica. "You're on my hit list." I whispered. I looked back at the guys coach and smiled. "Got it." I let out a heavy sigh and raised my voice a bit. "Okay, um since we have both teams today and the goalkeepers have different stretches then the rest of us they could stretch while the rest of us could do the circle stretches."

The two gave a thumbs up and moved away from the rest of us.

"So circle around ummm and we'll start with the sitting stretches."

We finally finished stretching and I was finally done talking. Now we could move on to actual less embarrassing things.

"Alright! Coach Savage and I have decided we are going to have you guys face off in scrimmage for today's practice!" Rayle announced.

Whispered cheers could be heard through the students. Scrimmage meant we didn't have to do the one drill everyone despised, suicide. Everyone had a right to dred that drill. The Coach would call out a number and we had to run to that many cones in less then ten seconds for seven minutes. Yeah, not fun.

"The starting players will remain the same along with your positions. We want to see your up most effort and if we don't..." Coach Rayle paused. "Then I think you know what you have to do."

With that threat we got into our places. I sat at right defense and looked to see who I was guarding. "So, I'm guarding Mr. Hotshot. Let's see what type of player this guy really is." A wide Cheshire smile was playing on my lips.

Coach Savage blew the whistle and the game began.
