"You need to go!"
There were flashes of light, the spaces between them were splashed with the color beige with delicate indentations, like intricate architecture. Her heart sought refuge in her throat and she tried to focus on where she was, but the room was spinning and the light was still flashing. She narrowed her eyes and clenched her teeth as her head began to spin-- it was happening again.
Just like it always did. She could never see more than flashes of white and brown, she could never feel anything apart from the shot of adrenaline that set her lungs on fire... but, there was something extra this time, a voice.
A voice, unlike most of her recent memories, she won't forget.
Son Juhyun couldn't remember a large chunk of her life. She could tell you where she grew up, her parent's names and even her first love. She could tell you about her engineering course in university and she could tell you how the guy she sat next to always smelled like bananas... but that was where it began to fade, a gaping hole of her life missing. She didn't know what happened after graduation, not really. It was just brief flashes, intangible and incoherent.
All she knew was that whatever happened, it was bad enough to land her in a prison cell for the next fifteen years of her life.
And just as she was beginning to grow used to the void in her memories and her sentence to a crime she couldn't remember committing, her entire world gets thrown on its head when she wakes up to a man looming over her, demanding for information she didn't have, or at least she thought she didn't have.
Sometimes, maybe it's better to forget. Because as soon as Pandora's Box is open, it's not as easy to close.
