The Strength Within

Chapter 1: How it all started

It was late at night and cold breeze came from the window. Robin was laying in bed wide awake, while her sister was sound asleep in her own bedroom right next door. It had been a long day picking pockets, that's what robin did for a living, she was theif and a lier but she had no choice. Robin and her sister lived on there own, there dad had died and there mom had left them, leaving them with nothing but simply the house. Then all of a sudden she heard something from downstairs. She assumed it was her sister who made the noise but she still wanted to double check. She quietly went downstairs and looked around but saw nothing. Robin just thought she must be hearing things so she wants back upstairs. As she was walking up the stairs, she heard a scream come from her sisters room. She ran as fast as possible to her sisters room and barged in, to her dismay Alexis was gone and the window was wide open. "Noooo, Alexis" screamed robin, then she saw something out the window. There was a man an ugly one sitting on a broomstick holding Robin's little sister. "You =_=, your Rumpelstiltskin the man who killed my father" said robin "ah yes, John the weak and poor Young Man, yes I remember killing him" said rumple. Robin was infuriated now, she grabbed the bow and arrow from her sisters wall and aimed it towards rumple " You take that back, my father was an amazing person, he was not poor nor weak" yelled robin "ah but he was, did he never tell you the truth? It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't" said rumple. "So now your saying my father was a liar, oh you're so dead now, and put my sister down you irritating runt!" Robin said furiously. "Oh look at the time guess I'll be going now, oh and don't even think about coming to save your sister she's mine now and there's nothing you can do about" said rumple as he flew away into the dead of night. "Noooooo, Alexis" yelled robin once again collapsing to the floor. Alexis was the only family robin had left and she loved her with all her heart. Tears rolled down her face, and she could feel the pain and greif growing. She laid down on the floor sobbing and cryed herself to sleep.

The next morning she awoke at first she was happy but then it all came back to her, she wondered if it had been a dream and she checked her sisters bed. When she saw the bed was empty and realized she had awoken on the floor she knew it hadn't have been a dream. She got up and went to go get ready for "work", more like being a thief. Before she left she grabbed her sisters bow and arrow that she had used the night before. The bow had originally been her dad's and then her dad gave it to Alexis, but since Alexis was gone it was Robin's now and she promised her self she'd take good care of it and never let it out of her sight, after all it was the last thing she had of her sister.

She set out, heading towards the town. It was going to be quite hard to work considering all that happened. On the bright side a lot of tourist were in town this time of year, really rich ones too. Robin went into the crowd of people and started sneaking around. Right as she was about to steel a watch from a pocket she felt a hand grab her on the  shoulder. "Come with me little girl" said the man, she turned around to see the man was creepy and definitely not friendly. The man wouldn't let go of her and had a knife up against her back. She soon realized it was a kidnapper and remembered a specific move her dad had taught her for these type of situations. She did a back flip and kicked him in the stomach knocking him over. She landed and grabbed her bow and arrow and aimed it at him. "Okay, okay, you got me now release me this instant!" He said furiously. "Why should i, you tried to kill me, you really think I'm going to let you off that easily?" Said robin. "Get up, you sad excuse for a swashbuckling ape" robin said with disgust. The man got up and Robin immediately grabbed both his hands and tied them toghether with rope behind his back. "Excuse me young lady, may I speak with you for a moment" said another man. Robin turned to see that it was a guard from the Royale castle. "Yes sir?" Robin asked nervously, "I saw what you did just a moment ago and must say I'm impressed, that is like top level skill right there. My point is would you like to join the Royale guard for the kingdom of Dembrock?" He said. Robin was shocked, she hardly knew what to say "yes, I'd like that very much" she said still in amazement " Wonderful, also do you want me to take him off your hands?" he asked " No I think I got it, alright now walk you criminal" robin said. Toghether they walked towards the castle. Robin still couldn't believe everything that happened, but she was all that happy her sister was still missing and Robin didn't know if she'd ever see her again...
