The Beginning

Chapter 1

Dear Diary 5/1/2023

When I started feeling uneasy I knew something bad was about to happen my mom says I'm an empath like her and my grandmother and that we know things before they happen I find it crazy but I started feeling something the other day when we were sitting in class and when I got home my mom and dad were watching the news and they were saying how that there is high radiation in the air and that they were trying to figure out were it is coming from any ways I'm out

"Nova have you done your home work." I here my mom yell up the stairs and I grown she should've know I have already done my home work out of me and my brothers and sisters I am the only one she doesn't have to yell at to do anything she says I'm like her when she was growing up always did what my nanny asked her she would complain but she would still do it. "Nova." I her my little sister whimpers my name and I look at my bedroom door. "Whats up Athena." I ask sitting up on my bed she walks over to my bed and climbs up the bed laying her head in my lap I start to run my fingers through her hair. "Something is wrong." She says as she looks up at me. "What do you mean." I ask her for a 5 year old she is smarter then anybody I know. "On the news it said that's the air has been showing sings of radiation and they don't know what to do about it." She says and I here my mom start to yell for all of us as we start to here sirens coming from out said we run down stairs and in to the living room were we see a flashing yellow sign on the tv. "Whats happening." I scream as my parents run around the house "Get in the bunker now go." My dad yell at us and we all run out said and to the bunker I look up at the last second to see my mom and dads face as they closed the door on us. "What just happened why didn't they follow us in mamma." I scream trying to push the door back open when my brother pulls me back. "Nova stop and breath your scaring Athena." He says and I stop and look at him. "Why didn't they follow us." I ask and he just shakes his head. "I don't know let's see if they left a message on the computer okay." He says and I nod and get a hold of my self and looking around the huge bunker my great great grandfather built we all walk over to the middle of the room where all the computer and monitors are sitting and my oldest brother turns them on. "Okay so where would they have left a video message or just a message." He ask moving the mouse around on the screen. "Here let me do it." Our brother says moving the oldest out of the way and going through stuff and putting in passwords until a video popped up on the screen and he press play.

Hey kids it mom and dad here and if you are watching this that means the radiation hit before we thought it would and didn't have enough time to explain to you in person about what was going to happen.

We found out a few months ago that we only had 12 months to gather what we would need and learn how to survive radiation from multiple gas plants have leaked into the air and day by day it has been getting worse.

Connecting with other gas plants making theirs go off as well we just knew there wouldn't be enough time they say the air will not be breathable for up to 8 or 9 years and in this bunker you have enough supplies to last you 5 up to 20 years I know your thinking if it had enough food supply

To last you guys that long why aren't we there with you it's because the only reason you'll have that much to survive is because we are not staying with you we love you all so very much there are cameras surrounding our entire property to keep you guys safe let no one in no matter what no matter who they are you are the only ones able to open that door.

Edward David and Blair we want you to take care of Nova and Athena they are going to need you all the cameras should work the whole time but don't freak out if they go out you guys are safe there are individual rooms there is stuff in there that y'all like now and stuff that y'all will grow into and hopefully like we did the best we could so y'all had something to do we love you all so very much know that we are with you and everything will be okay

They say ending the video and I look up at my big brother. "It's going to be okay guys you don't worry we got you." Edward says and I start to look around the bunker. "Nova knows what is going she may be 8 but she is not stupid." I here Edward tell David and Blair and I walk over to Athean sitting down with her as she plays with the toys she found. "Are mamma and daddy gone." she ask looking at me with sad eyes. "Yes, but you know what we will survive they taught us how to live and be strong it's going to be hard on David, Edward, and Blair they are still kids like us and now they got to act like grown ups so it is up to me and you to not make it so hard on them okay  we help as much as we can like mamma taught us and we can't throw fits we have to be big girls now." I say and watch her hang on to every word I say. "Otay we are big girls." She says with so much confidence. "I'm going to go look around are you okay here playing with the toys." I ask her and she nods her head I get up and start walking around I see David, Edward, and Blair all sitting on the couches that where down here I have read my family's journals my great great grandfather believed that one day the gas planets around the world and all the trash would some day ruin our planet and thanks to him for thinking that way now and for teaching his son who taught my dad because with out them none of this would be possible I'm sure some of the food down here is older then my dad I walk over to the books and see that the journals  are down here I walk over to the desk that they are sitting on and see a map of the bunker I start following the maps to the room that has my name on it when I get there I see a sign with my name on it and open the door and walk in looking around I see that our parents had set us up rooms I walk into mine and sit the map on the dresser walking around looking at everything and I let out a small laugh seeing stuff I thought I lost like my necklace that my grandmother gave me or the baby blanket I stopped sleeping with a year ago but will admit that I was sad when I thought it was gone I walk over to the desk and she all kinds of art supplies and sketch books and journals like a lot of them my mom knows a I love to wright more then anything in the world other then sketching I walk over to the closet opening it up to see clothes that I can fit wright now but none that I could grow into. I close the closet and walk back over to where I sat the map down looking at it to see there was a storage room once I find it on the map I start making my way back through the bunker and through the living room where my brother stops me. "Hey what are you up to." He ask coming to stand beside me looking down at the map. "Where did you get the map from." He ask and I point to the table where a stack of them sit. "I'm going to the storage room to see what else is in there we all have are own rooms with a bathroom connected to them the map shows you everything." I say looking up at him. "Thanks little sis let us know what you find." He says as he walks off in the direction of the rooms and I keep making my way to the storage room when I get there I turn on the lights and look around amazed at all the stuff in here I walk down an isle that has Athen's name on it it has clothes from her age right now and up with two extra sets of the same outfits just different sizes just in case any of us gain weight while where down here I find the isle with my name on it walking all the way to the age of 16 when I see pretty bras and underwear like mamma would wear I have no clue why I would need those but I push it to the back of my mind and keep looking I see more books, sketch pads, and journals with all kids of pens and pencil I walk to the back to a set of lockers I open up the one that says my name and see a laptop a cell phone and a walkie talkie that can reach up to 8,000 feet away from us I turn it on listening when I don't hear anything I turn it off to save the battery even though there is a charger with it. I grab all the electronic's out of my locker and heading back towards my room with all of my stuff and just thinking about how my life is going to be for now on.

                             Hey everyone so a new story I hope ever one likes this story please know that I have dyslexia so if there is any miss spelling I am super sorry I do plane on having my sister prof read the chapters before posting them or I will look up the correct spelling and fix it my self if you do see any miss spelling in anything I write please fell free to tell me but there is no reason to be rude when you do so writing is one of my main passions and I wanna try my best with getting a story out there and read by a lot of people also if you have feed back let me know
