He's back. Ryder is back. Looking at his face again, my assumptions were correct.

"Alex?" he asked his voice raspy, his eyes wide as if he didn't believe it was me.

"That's my name" I answered back without looking at his eyes. Not his eyes. They brought memories that I tried to push away for the past year, but they were all coming back.

He cracked a smile showing off his white pearly teeth. 

I mean his ratchet yellow teeth.

"You're still here" as soon as the words came out, I felt sick and I think he realized it too.

"Come on..." he started but I snapped my eyes to him shutting him up.

"Welcome back Ryder" I said sarcasm dripping from my voice.

"...but just remember that you left me" I whispered feeling fragile and with that I walked off.

Pushing past him, I search for my homeroom, finally finding the room, I barge in

Over 15 faces snap to face me, some smirking and I realize I'm late. I was never late, everybody knew that. I turn to face Mr Robson who was giving me a disappointed look. I smiled sheepishly

"You're late Alex, but since this is your first time being late, I will let it go" Mr Robson smiled.

"Thankyou sir" I smiled back, finding a spot in the middle of the classroom.

"Anyway, notices of the week...." I soon stopped listening for a while. Ryder was back. Question was, why was he back?

FLASHBACK (A YEAR AGO)

"So, you're leaving" I ask Ryder disgust laced in my voice.But question was why was he leaving?

The only reason I'm talking to him was because news was going around that he was leaving but I didn't belive it. Yet here I am watching him load his suitcases into his father's car.

"Yes" he whispered, his eyes never meeting mine. I never see his eyes anymore and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

"May I ask why?" I ask feeling fragile. Just because I will nwver forgive him doesn't mean I'll stop loving him. His eyes meet mine and I feel broken all over again.

"I have to leave Alex, I can't stay but I promise I will come back when I've healed and forgotten everything. Forgotten you"

END FLASHBACK

REALITY

I guess year was enough to forget. To forget me. Lunch soon rolled around and unfortunately for me, Ryder was in all my classes.

Apparently since I was 'close' to Ryder. I should be able to show him around and he should always be by my side, until he's comfortable making his own friends

We walk down to my locker and I take out my sandwich before locking my locker and turning to face Ryder.

"You can go now, it's lunchtime, you know, go get fat or some shit" I snap walking to the cafeteria, Ryder still following me

"You're the only person I know"

"I'm allergic to bullshit" I snap back walking to my table where Steph,Mark, Luke and Matt were sitting

"Who's this?" Mark, Luke and Matt asked in unison. Steph eyes are wide as she stares at Ryder. She was the only person, including half the school who knows everything, yet I refuse her offer of telling me anything. I wanted it all from Ryder.

"Just some idiot" I answer back, sitting myself down before taking a bite out of my sandwich, only to realize that Ryder was sitting himself next to me.

"What do you want Ryder?" I ask with fury. He just can't come back and think we're friends all over again. Ignoring me, he introduced himself to my friends who were watching us with amusement. The boys smiled except Steph.

"Sup Ryder, names Matt" Matt smirked

"Luke" Luke grinned giving Ryder a handshake

"Matt" Ryder nodded taking it all in. Ryder turned to face Steph and frowned.

"I'm sure we've met" she sneered
