You arrived home at 3:23 am. Hank, now sober, rushed up to you, clearly worried. "(Y/n)! Thank god you're okay! I shouldn't have left you out there alone." "I'm fine, I wasn't alone. Connor hailed us a cab." You replied, still pissed off that Hank decided to ditch you. You sighed. "Why did you aim your gun toward Connor? I thought you two were finally getting along." Hank was hesitant. "I'm honestly not too sure." There was silence for a moment. "Let me ask you something." Said Hank. "You think Connor's going... deviant?" Your eyes widened. 'It can't be.' You thought. 'Connor's one of CyberLife's best models.' "What makes you say that?" You nervously asked. "I can tell he's starting to emulate human emotion. It's very prominent whenever he looks at you." You blushed. "What?" "Yeah, he seems to genuinely care for you. (Y/n)..How do you feel about Connor?"

You remembered when you first met Connor. He was so kind and polite. Later on throughout the deviant cases, he grew more caring towards you and your uncle, but something else within him seemed to be showing and you didn't know what it was. 'Could it really be deviancy?' Your mind questioned. "He's an excellent help for these deviant cases. He's kind, generous and selfless. He'd do anything to help us solve the investigation." Hank chuckled at how you were rambling on about Connor. "Becoming attached to him, huh?" You blushed again, trying to defend yourself, but you just end up stuttering. "It's alright, you don't have to admit it." Hank assured. "But you..hate androids." You finally spoke. "Yes, I'm not particularly fond of them..but I care more about your happiness, and if Connor makes you happy, it's alright with me." You gave your uncle a small smile and was about to hug him before you remembered Hank attempting to kill himself.

"Wait, if..if you care about my happiness, then why did you try to take your own life? You would've left me all alone." Hank sighed, knowing he'd soon be asked about this. "I know, and I'm so sorry, (Y/n). I really am. It was selfish of me to do. I promised you I would give you a better life than your father did and I end up trying to kill myself! And all for wha-!?" You ran up to Hank and hugged him, making him stop talking and return the embrace. "Hank..You know that if you're so upset to where it's driven you to that point, you can come talk to me, right?" You remembered seeing a picture of Cole on the kitchen table when Hank was laying on the floor. "Y-You were upset about Cole..weren't you?" You gently asked. Hank sighed, setting a hand on your shoulder. "When Cole died, I thought I'd never be able to live my life the same way again. I never had the guts to pull the trigger, so I kill myself a little each day. I now realize that you're just as important to me as Cole was. I would've made you lose another parental figure. You would've been as upset as I was then. I deeply apologize for scaring you. I don't want you to have to go through that again." You smiled at him, tears running down you cheeks. "I forgive you." You managed to say. "Promise me you won't leave me." Hank nodded. "I promise."

A/N: Hey! Haven't wrote an Author's Note for this story in a while. I just wanted to explain my reasons for writing this chapter. I wanted to develop you and Hank's relationship more so I decided to make a chapter dedicated to you and your uncle's closure. I know this has nothing to do with you and Connor, but trust me, he'll be in the next chapter. I really hope you're liking these chapters so far. I don't think they're the best in terms of my writing, but I really enjoy writing this so ya. Anyways, thanks for reading!
