A few days later we all visited Namimori-chuu, I stood alone in one of the many training rooms, sitting on the floor and staring at my weapons belt laid out in front of me. I still haven't opened my animal box and finally found some time to be alone; I was opening it today, no interruptions.

'Silvine is sassy and Koko is kind.' I thought back to my future-self's words and had a slight idea of what was inside.

I took a deep breath and released it, picking up the box. I closed my eyes and concentrated, lighting my ring up. I stared at the flames for a few seconds before inserting both cloud and rain flames into the box.

It opened up and a bright light filled the room. I had to close my eyes and turn my head before I was blinded. The light died down and I opened my eyes, my mouth dropping open.

Twin white foxes stood in front of me. One of them had purple cloud flames dancing on their tail and ears while the other had the blue rain flames. I reached my hands out for them to smell. The one with rain flames sniffed it and leaned its head forward, allowing me to pet it. My hands run through the soft white fur and I pull her close, letting her sit next to me.

The one with cloud flames sniffed my hand and looked up at me before turning its head a little to the side. It looked like it just... sighed?

"You must be Silvine," I realized then looked down at the one sitting on my right. "And you're Koko."

Koko nuzzled her head in my idle hand and I resumed petting her. I looked at Silvine and reached my other hand out to her again.

"Come on," I cooed softly. "I know I'm not exactly your master, but I want to get to know you. We're in a messy situation and I need your help."

Silvine turned her head and looked at me searchingly before leaning forward and licking my hand. I smiled and pet her.

"Okay, so... twin foxes," I nodded. "I'm guessing if I just put cloud flames then Silvine will come out and if it's just rain flames, Koko will come out. Putting both flames in would let the both of you out... let's try that out."

I put both of them back into the box and lit up my Vongola ring, inserting the blue flame into the box.

"...oh." Both foxes had come out of the box but Silvine was curled up, sleeping. Her flames were out but Koko was sitting next to her sister, looking down at her sleeping figure. "I'm guessing the same thing happens if I do the opposite."

So I would need to inject both cloud and rain flames into the box for it to properly work... noted. I called them out properly this time and stood up, my sword in my hand.

"So what can you guys do?" I asked.

Silvine walked up to my sword and howled. Two extra swords dropped to the ground and I raised an eyebrow at that. I could feel the presence of cloud flames in it and hypothesized that if I cut off my connection with the foxes, the sword replicas would disappear. I tried to do the same thing without Silvine's help and was able to manipulate the cloud propagation into giving me an extra sword.

I hummed. So Silvine increases propagation speed.

"What about you, Koko?"

Koko grabbed the sword replicas that lay on the floor with her mouth and they were instantly coated in a blue flame. She looked up at me and I took it. Silvine took the one I was already holding and a purple flame surrounded it.

"Cool," I breathed, holding both weapons in front of me. "Can you guys do the reverse?"

Once again, the twins took the swords into their mouths and the flames extinguished. Koko dropped the sword and bounded forward, howling while spinning in a quick circle and sitting down in the middle of the room. I was wondering what she was doing until I felt water hit my face.
