[Rachel]
I walked into my school Riverside High. Riverside high was a very small school. It only had like 500 kids. Riverside high was located in the east end of our town Riverside which was located in Texas.
Our town is like any other town, small, safe innocent.
You get closer and you start to see the lies, secrets that lurks between the cracks of our town.
Riverside is a very, very small town with the population of 900 people. It is one of the smallest town in the United States.
As I was walking through the halls, I kept on repeating in my head, 180 more days of hell, 180 more days of learning stuff, I'll never use. Civics, and Algebra don't mean a damn thing in the real world but yet they still make you learn all this shit. It's beyond ridiculous. And I-
My thoughts were interrupted by feeling something hard against my body, and the next thing I know is my books went flying and I hit the ground. I wasn't sure what happened but I'm like Great job! Rachel! Make a fool out of yourself! I mentally scolded myself.
I couldn't see because my vision was blurred. I shook my head, trying to get my vision back.
"Oh my god! Are you okay?" I heard a voice say and I looked up and I saw him.
Why is he talking to me? Has he lost his damn mind!?
I couldn't believe what just happened. I just ran into and fell in front of Carson Hartnell.
Carson is the school's biggest player, he is captain of the football team and he is a bad boy. Every girl at Riverside high has a crush on him.
"Yeah, I-I think so." I said, mentally slapping myself for stuttering in front of him. But I was still in shock that he was talking to me.
Boys like Carson don't usually talk to girls like me. So this is very odd. I haven't talked to a boy since I lost my boyfriend two short months ago.
"Here, let me help you up," Carson said and he held out his hand, and I grabbed it, and he helped me to my feet. He smiled at me, god, that smile could kill me.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." He said, letting his hand linger on mine, longer than it should have.
"No, no, it's okay. It's my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going." I said, brushing myself off. I readjusted my skirt that I had on.
"It's Rachel right?" Carson said, and I was shocked that he even knew my name because I didn't even know he knew I existed.
"Yes, it is. And it's Carson right?" I said, acting like I didn't know his name.
