Embarrassing Incidents

Like every day, I was walking back towards my dorm room after my class.

Again I saw him there in the gym through the glass door working out and once again I was stuck at the sight of him. Whoever saw me like this must be thinking that I'm some crazy stalker so after peeking a last time through the door I left.

I shouldn't be doing this but I can't help it he is so hot and so out of my league.

He is a senior and I'm in my first year of college. I couldn't stop thinking about him since that incident in the elevator. I was running late for class so I entered the elevator without seeing if there was someone and bumped into him, we sort of shared a moment but I was embarrassed while he was just laughing.

I don't think he even noticed me after that after all I'm just an average looking teenager with frizzy hairs.

My roommate Lily was waiting for me as we decided to watch our favorite animated series together. Okay don't judge, after all, we are just grown-up kids.

"Riya, thank god finally you are here. What took you so long?" She asked while turning on the computer.

"Uh, you know my class" I replied.

"Wait you were stalking him, weren't you?! I don't get it Riya why don't you just directly go to him"

She said exasperated.

"You know I can't especially after that incident" I mumbled. She was the only one who knew about that incident since she was my only best friend.

_In the Past_

Riya was hurrying for a class and was continuously pressing the elevator button as she was late, she was also leaning towards the elevator when her phone pinged she checked on it to see if its about the class when suddenly the lift door opens and she fell in directly into the arms of a very handsome guy who could make the Greek gods run for their money with his looks.

"Uhm you can stop feeling me up now" the guy said while smirking. 

Riya realised that she was hugging him so tightly and they were so close that they could easily shared a kiss. She turned red and stood up trying to ignore him while she waited for her floor. 

"Are you alright?" that guy asks.

"Y-yeah" she replies just as the lift opens and literally ran out of there before she could embarrass herself further.

_Present_ 

"For god's sake Riya that happened almost five months ago, he must have forgotten by now" she stated.

"Yeah but still!" I screeched, losing my patience.

"Look either you should go talk to him at least know his name or you should just get over this crush," she said calmly this time.

"Alright, now can we watch our show," I said surrendering.

"Of course" she replied and tension cleared off... At least for now.

...........Same day at evening..................

"Hey, Lily had you received my parcel?" I asked

"Oh no there wasn't any parcel," she said absentmindedly.

"Are you sure because they are saying it was delivered today?" I asked now being a little worried.

It was sent by my mom, she said it's a surprise gift for my birthday next week as she'd not be able to visit me.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure. What is it anyway?" She asked now getting curious about it.

"I don't know my mom sent it as my birthday gift in advance. I'll go ask the guards if they know about it" I said putting on my slippers.

"Ok" she replied still being fixed on her phone.

I hurried down the building to the main entrance.

"Excuse me is there any parcel for room number 175, block 3?" I asked one of the guards at the main entrance.

"Yeah here it is, for room 175 right?" he asked.

"Yeah, thank you" sighing in relief I collected it and got back to my room.

It's was a little heavy, I wonder what she sent this time. My mother is quite creative with these things.

"You got it?" Lily asked as I entered

"Yeah, now let's see what is it" I started opening it and Lily also joined me, we were feeling giddy like kids to unwrap it and see what's inside.

"WHAT?!" Both of us yelled at the same time as neither of us had expected a box of protein powder.

"Is this some kind of joke?!" I said while looking at it.

"It-think your mom is j-just so worried ab-bout your health," said Lily while laughing like crazy.

I was about to kill her for that but a knock on the door interrupted me.

As I opened the door I almost fainted, the elevator guy on whom I have been crushing on, was standing there in front of me!

"Hey um I think our parcels got exchanged by mistake," He said but I was too shocked to even reply.

"Who is it Riya?" Lily came beside me, "Ooohh" she made that sound after realizing who he was and he looked weirdly at both of us.

Finally snapping out of the trance I realized what he said. Shit my surprise gift.

"Um I'm sorry I didn't realize it was your until I opened it," he said while rubbing his neck nervously double shit.

"Yeah uh come in I have got your parcel," I said finally.

He entered and looked around my room while taking it all.

"Hey guys I have got go for my dance practice, I'll catch up with you guys later" saying that Lily left just two of us there is a kind of awkward situation.

"Uh actually that was my advance birthday gift from my mom but since it was a surprise I didn't know what was in it" I didn't know what to say so I started rambling.

"Then I'm sorry I shouldn't have opened it and seen that," he said getting even more awkward and making me curious about what is it in there.

Taking the parcel I opened it and saw a dozen of my childhood photographs and an album with a letter. I remember I told her that I was missing them that is why she must have sent those pictures and albums, it was thoughtful but it went wrong, very very wrong.

"Oh god, I'm so embarrassed... Again" I with an awkward.

"Why? There is nothing to be embarrassed by about anything" he said smiling with a glint in his eyes.

"Yeah but you weren't supposed to see that and I don't know if you remember me from earlier" I regretted after mentioning that incident right now.

"Of course I remember that you just stumbled into my arms out of nowhere and I even kept thinking about that, about you and you are looking very cute in those pictures but I think you are looking even cuter now," He said and came towards me smiling.

He sheepishly added that he knowingly took her parcel when he saw her name on it as he was also stalking her, and wanted an excuse to talk to her without being awkward.

"You like me?" I asked without even thinking about what I was saying.

"Yeah," he said looking at me intensely then asked what I have been imagining for the last five months.

"Would you like to go out with me?"

"Not until I know your name Mister" I laughed at his expression.

"I'm Ryan, Would you like to go out with miss Riya?"

"Of course," I said while both of us kept smiling like crazy.
