SpongeBob SquarePants sat on the couch with his best friend since childhood and roommate, Patrick Star on the couch in their house. It was a small apartment in downtown, Bikini Bottom, but it was pretty easy for the young sponge and the young starfish to get to wherever they needed to go. Patrick was always a lazy person, ever since his childhood, but he helped SpongeBob through school, being his best friend and acted as a muscle for him. SpongeBob thanks to that agreed for him to crash with him, and thankfully, he could afford to pay the rent, after being hired by the Krusty Krab as a Fry cook just recently.

Patrick simply gazed at the TV, laughing, even though they weren't even watching a comedy. They were just watching an episode of Breaking Bad on Netfish.

SpongeBob arched an eyelash, confused by his friend finding the scene that was on, funny. Though, he simply left him be, knowing that the show tended to have a lot more comedic moments than what most people would expect a serious crime drama to have.

"Meow."

The young sponge turned, facing his pet snail, Gary, slithering his way through the room.

"Aw, what's the matter, garebare?" SpongeBob asked.

"Meow."

Oh right. Doesn't talk, He thought.

At that moment, he heard Gary's stomach growling. He was hungry.

SpongeBob flashed a glance to the pink starfish, and gently extended his arm, and poked him. As he felt the poke, Patrick flinched, and fell out of his chair.

"Yes?" He asked, with his face on the floor.

"Hey, Patrick. Do you know where I last put Gary's food?"

"Don't you put food in the kitchen?"

At that moment, SpongeBob remembered that his friend was correct. He mentally facepalmed, and nodded.

"Thanks."

"No prob, buddy."

SpongeBob was still confused as to why Patrick hadn't chosen to got up, yet. He knew he was lazy, but not this lazy, as to not care to get up, and miss his show. Though, he did wish sometimes that his best friend and roommate would at least try and help around the apartment. There was only so much SpongeBob could do alone, and his boss, Mr. Krabbs as he and their neighbor, Squidward call him pay him.

The young sponge soon headed to the kitchen, and looked into the cabnet, where Gary's food was. However, at that moment, SpongeBob noticed a box of cereal that he bought yesterday, and quickly saw there was a sticker on the end.

PRIZE INSIDE!

At that moment, SpongeBob had a smile of excitement, and grabbed the box.

"My gosh, what could it be?" He asked himself. He quickly grabbed a bowl, and poured out all the cereal, but there was no prize inside. "Where's my prize?"

SpongeBob sighed.

"Well, I guess I'll have to drag Patrick in here for an early dinner," He looked back to his friend, who had now gotten up, and sat on the couch, laughing again.

Ugh.

"Meow."

At that moment, SpongeBob looked over to Gary, and a lightbulb flashed in his mind.

"Good idea! I'll simply ask Patrick if he wants to have dinner early!" He jumped out of his chair, forgetting that was his plan from the start. "And while I'm at it, I'll ask Squidward if he wants to have dinner with us!"

Minutes later.

"Squidward!!!" SpongeBob loudly knocked on his neighbor's door.

A moment later, he opened the door, revealing a strikingly tall octopus, with a large nose, but no hair, and only wearing a brown collar shirt. Upon seeing the sponge, Squidward's frown deepened, and let out a long breath beneath clenched teeth.

"What?" He asked.

"Oh, Squidward. I had this amazing idea. How would you like to have dinner at my place tonight?"

"SpongeBob, your apartment is literally 3 feet away from me. Why would I want to, when I could just make something myself?" He asked. "Also, why would I want to eat with you and Patrick in the first place?"

"Because we're friends, remember?"

"What part of 'I hate you', do you not understand?" Squidward facepalmed.

"The 'you' part," SpongeBob said. "Seriously though, how could you not want to have free food tonight?"

"Because I'm not a moron," He answered.

"Sheesh, Squid. I was just asking. No need for the insults."

"Well, how about you and that dumbfish-"

"Language," SpongeBob said, cutting him off. Squidward narrowed his eyes, and gritted his teeth at the young sponge. "Sorry," He turned away, and walked away from him.

Well, that failed, SpongeBob thought.

Minutes later, he sat back in the kitchen, with a bowl of cereal in front of him.

Patrick walks inside, and sees his friend.

"Hi, SpongeBob! Whatcha doin'?" He asked.

"Oh, just thinking," He answered.

"Whatcha thinking about, buddy?"

"What do you think?" He looked back at Patrick.

His friend looked to him, then flashed a glance down to the bowl of cereal.

"Porkchops!" He answered.

"No."

SpongeBob looked down to his pet snail, rolling his eyes.

"Meow."

"Yeah. How could I be angry at him. He's my best pal after all," He grinned, flashing a glance to Patrick.

"Hey, are you gonna eat that?" He asked, pointing to the cereal.

"Well-"

At that moment, Patrick grabbed the bowl, and simply ate it whole in one bite, with all the cereal in it too. A moment later, he simply swallowed it all, and burped.

"Yummy!" He shouted.

Well, at least I have less dishes to clean now, SpongeBob thought.
