My names Jessica but everyone calls me Jess, I'm 17 and live alone. My parents died a while back and my aunt raised me till a year ago. I moved a lot for different reasons, the reason I'm moving this time is so I can be close to the ocean that is close to this small town. It's so small and mostly forest so humans, well anyone for that matter, won't see me change and do my thing
Oh if I haven't told you I'm a mermaid, well a half mermaid. My mom was a mermaid and my dad was a dragon, but they have human forms that's why no one thinks there alive any more. I can only change into a mermaid not a dragon though, well not yet at least. Once I turn 18 I may be able to or if something happens where I need my dragon side but who knows. Although I do have better scents then anyone and I can talk to animals. I'm also able to listen to mind-links no matter who they are. Also no one can read my mind. I can scents the weather like when it's going to rain when it's sunny when it'll snow ect.
The bad part of bring me is when I get wet I grow a tail but if I concentrate I can keep my legs till I'm dry but i become a little weaker.
Anyway, right now I'm walking to my new school. Oh by the way I live in the ocean in an underwater cave and I'm able I make an air bubble around things. I walk to the school and sigh heavenly, 'I hate school' I think to myself as I walk in
"Hi can I help you?" a nice lady at the desk asks me
"I'm new here, may I have my schedule? My name is Jessica."
She looks around until she finds it, "Yes here you go, and your locker number and the lock" she smiles
I thank her then go to my first class and sit in the back
I get though my first 2 classes and now it's math, the best class.
I walks into class and sit way in the back corner, 'ugh, this place reacts of werewolves and vampires, how are there humans here?' I think to myself
"Ok class quiet!" The teacher walks in not looking at anyone, just walks to his desk, "ok so today we will-" he stops and turns scanning the room then stops and looks at me
He studies me then smiles, 'why the hell is he smiling at me??' I look down when the sent hits me, I sniff a little with out anyone noticing, 'gross!!! The teaches my mate?!?!?'
I keep my head down till he starts class. Once he starts class I check him out to see what I'm working with
He's wearing a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and jeans on. I can tell he has a lot of muscles and is powerful, alpha maybe? I look at his face and see he has eyes as blue as the sea. Man I could start at them all day
I notice that while I was checking him out he was watching me with a smirk on his face, 'crap'
