CHAPTER 11

(Athena POV)

The next morning Susan, Lucy, and I leave the tent and find Peter outside of his. I take notice that Oreius is back. I look at Peter to see him staring off into the distance. Susan, Lucy and I all turn to see what Peter is looking at and we find Aslan talking to Edmund. "Edmund!" Lucy calls excitedly. Aslan nods at Edmund before they make their way over to us. Lucy and Susan pull Edmund into a hug.

"What's done is done. There is no need to speak to Edmund about what is past," Aslan says to Peter before he goes to his tent. After Susan and Lucy let go of Edmund he turns to Peter.

"Hello," Edmund says not sure what to actually say to Peter who has a stern look on his face.

"Are you all right?" I ask Edmund offering him a small smile. "I'm Athena by the way." I know he had forgotten who I was.

"I'm a little tired," Edmund answers.

"Get some sleep," Peter orders and Edmund starts to head to the tent with his head hanging low. "And Edmund..." Edmund turns back to Peter. "...try not to wander off." Peter's tone now joking like. Susan and Lucy return back to our tent and I look to Peter giving him a small smile.

(3rd Person POV)

"Would you care to take a walk with me?" Athena asks Peter still smiling. Peter smiles and nods his head. Athena leads him to the hill the overlooks Cair Paravel. The sun is hitting it just right making it glow. Athena notices Peter admiring it. "Amazing isn't it?"

"Yes, it is," Peter says.

"It was my home before I got stuck in your world," Athena explains to Peter.

"How do I not remember you being there?" Peter asks her.

"When Lucy opened the wardrobe and traveled into Narnia, she opened the doorway back home for me. Since Lucy was the only one to venture into Narnia at that time, she made a connection with the magic of Narnia. So, when I went in after her and sent her home the doorway sealed once again. With you, Susan and Edmund having never been to Narnia, therefore not having a connection to the magic, I simply no longer existed in your minds. Narnia has a strange way of working that way," Athena answers.

"Makes sense, I guess," Peter says.

"I can't wait to be able to go back to Cair Paravel. All five thrones made specifically for the ones in the prophecy," Athena says while staring longingly at her home and soon to be the Pevensies home as well. Peter looked over at the beautiful girl beside him and contemplated on whether or not to tell her about his dreams of her. Back in his world, the dreams were always about meeting her but now in Narnia they are about them having a future together. Little did Peter know is that Athena had started to have the same dreams. Peter then thought about what she said about the thrones and couldn't help but wonder if he and his siblings were the ones from the prophecy. "You doubt the prophecy. " Athena had noticed Peter thinking. Peter tried to speak but couldn't come up with anything. "It's okay. When I first heard the prophecy, I couldn't believe it either but when I took the role as Princess of Narnia and had the support of the people that I cared for, I knew then that it was meant to be. When the Kirke siblings came they were so against each other that I knew they were not the ones from the prophecy. I've watched you and your siblings, how you all work together and believe in one another. That alone makes me know you all are the ones from the prophecy. You may not believe it yet but you all have started to change Narnia for the better. I believe in each and every one of you." Athena gives Peter a small smile before kissing him on the cheek and running back to camp with a blush on her face. Peter was shocked to say the least. He left up his hand to touch where she kissed him still feeling the tingles and he couldn't help but smile.
