He inched closer to me, close enough that our chests were almost touching. So close to each other but so distant at the same time.

"Are you gonna do what you came here to do or not?" I snapped, snarling up at someone that I  thought would become just a distant memory.

He started down at me a hard expression setting in his attractive features.

"You know I can't do that! I could never hurt you!" He yelled narrowing his eyes at me.

Then his face went soft and he pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I looked at him and wanted to melt into his touch, but instead I fought the urge and gently pushed his hand away, causing him to frown and take a step back from me. He turned away from me to the bedroom window and leaned on it. I walked over to him as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a drag of it then blowing it out. I white cloud forming them disappearing into the air.

"What did you come here for?" I finally questioned, letting out a sigh.

He turned to me; before taking his marlboro red from his lips, and tossing his cigarette out the window. He turned to me, his blue eyes meeting mine. He stepped closer to me and hesitated before opening his mouth to speak.

"I came to say goodbye."
