He let his thoughts travel a little to the past. He thought about Donghyun with a small air of melancholy. What had he liked in Donghyun? Apart from that, one thing he had really liked in Donghyun was how he always stayed for Daehwi when he was bullied. But looking back, one thing Donghyun never did was stay by Daehwi. He never stood up to people who bullied the younger, but waited for them to leave and then comforted his boyfriend.
And in the end when Daehwi's father tore them apart, Donghyun didn't stand up for him,
Did Jinyoung have that in him? Of course, Daehwi wasn't bullied anymore so he had no idea whether Jinyoung would stand up for him or not. But leaving that matter aside for the moment,
Would Daehwi want to date Jinyoung?
If Daehwi were to be truly honest to himself, then the answer was yes.
He suddenly heard Somi's voice in his head, screaming "Go For It!" and smiled to himself. Ah if only life was that easy...
But did life really have to be that easy? Was the problem here the fact that Daehwi was afraid to take a risk?
Was he afraid to go against views of the society, afraid to do something that might get him hated on? Did he want to play it safe? Was he scared to be daring for once? Yes...yes, he was.
But Jinyoung would have been much scared than he was. And he chose to be daring, bold to go against society, one thing he was terrified of doing.
If Jinyoung could do it, why couldn't he?
Daehwi suddenly sat up in bed, feeling a mix of emotions that he couldn't comprehend. A small part of him almost envisioned his father walking into the room and slapping him because of the way he was thinking, but no such thing happened, and no such thing would ever happen.
He grabbed his phone, blinking a little in the harsh glare of it as he went to a certain person's chatlog, seeing that he was online even though it was about 2am now.
