forever, we say
eternity together
but apart, we stay
what separates us
what binds us to care apart
still holds us at bay
memories, tattoos
iron cages, iron walls
concrete and statues
spend time, but do tell
tell me, is this really you?
who dares stand so well
your marvelous thoughts
woven together; a scarf
wrapped around me taught
delicate fingers
twirl like a dreidel toy
loneliness, lingers
no more, will i fight
i won't play villain again
don't let me hurt you
after we're all gone
i'll promise you forever
infinite and on
i will never stop
you will never stop either
because, we are strong
