"Whatever."
I rolled up the window halfway and started plaiting the ends of my hair. He rolled the window again. "What did I tell you?"
This guy is getting on my last nerve! "You'd swear I was defacing your car or something."
"In fact, you are."
"Oh really? Then it must have been a terrible ordeal for you to let me be in here for so long. Right?!"
"You hit the nail right on the head! I dread having you in here!"
I looked out the window, staring at the vehicles that passed by. "I should've stayed home."
"You should have. I would have been fine enjoying someone else's company. It's not too late to turn back."
"I bet you would. That said person has your attention. Doesn't she?"
"Yes she does. Do you know we plan on tying the knot?"
"Really? When?"
"As soon as someone, which I completely detest signs the divorce papers I left on her desk."
"You mother-" Bite your tongue. Bite your tongue. I kept my mouth shut and took some deep breaths to calm down. I stared out the window, now grateful for the wind so that it could blow away the tears that wanted to fall so badly.
It was long after, when I was calm did I respond to him. "Maybe if you told me what I did wrong and stopped being so passive aggressive you would have solved your problem sooner and I think you'd be a lot happier."
"And for the record Andrew, I never wanted to marry you. I was happily engaged to someone and we were in love until you came along." I could have said more but I left it at that for the sake of peace. "As for the divorce papers, I haven't seen anything like it on my desk. Perhaps you left it somewhere else. If you can get another one, bring it to me. I'll have my lawyer go over it and I'll sign it for you."
"It took you so long to respond?" He scoffed, "Lame."
I shook my head and chose not to answer him. Not everything he says to me deserves a response. At this point I just want to get to the beach and block him out for the rest of the day.

The sound of music blaring was heard before the beach was even in sight. It was not long before the white, sandy beach shore came into view. Innumerable groups of people spread out across the sand; whether they sat under their flamboyant colored rainbow umbrellas or were stretched out on the sand to soak up the sun. The sky blue waters sparkled under the morning sun; I couldn't wait to take a swim in the cool, refreshing water.
Andrew found a parking space then we unloaded the things from the car. A cool breeze swept by with the aromatic sea air entwined in it. I inhaled deeply. Nothing like a sunny day at the beach. We walked with our bags in hand to find Andrew's family. Walking closer, I watched as some jolly children made sand castles and stuck tiny flags on them.
Suddenly, someone stepped on the back of my sandals, causing me to almost trip and fall. I turned around to see that the despicable person was none other than dearest Andrew. I stared at him with a raised brow, expecting an apology. He stopped, staring back at me with an indifferent expression. "Aren't you going to walk?"
Aren't you going to apologize? I sighed. It isn't that serious, it was just an accident. There's no need to start an argument. I turned around and resumed walking. Again, he mashed the back of my sandals; I nearly tripped yet again. I turned around, slightly irritated. "Seriously?"
