Chapter 12:A bit of a hiccup, painting the town, and a double dose of love

Calin looks between Ruby and Weiss, and Yang and Neptunia several times, looking a bit nervous

Calin:Ah screw it!

Calin suddenly walks straight out of the room, leaving them all confused, until moments later a pair of hands grasp the edge of the doorframe, and Light peeks his head partway inside

Yang:Light?

Light's hands let go as what they can see of him goes straight up and he comes out from behind the doorframe, in the air, because somebody is carrying him by the collar, it takes everybody a moment to see who did it as they set Light down and put their hands in their pockets, as Dark looks at the small assembly of girls

Ruby:Dark?!
Weiss:W-Wait What?! B-B-But, how?!
Dark:Calm down
Light:Sorry, this is gonna be a bit confusing
Yang:Can you just, explain?
Light:Well, we've tried explaining in the past, me and Dark are two sides of the same coin, together we are just, normal Calin, while Calin is both of us and we are both Calin, basically, "Calin" is like one and a half people, normally he's Calin, depending on his mood his personality shifts and he goes by Light or Dark, but he can actually split himself apart as well, into Light and Dark, separating the two sides of his personality into two different beings
Dark:Basically, we're not his split personalities, there is no who came first, we've always been this way, see it how you want, are we offshoots of the original who's emotions have split, or is Calin simply the sum of our parts, whatever the case this is the reality of the situation, regardless of whether you accept it
Blake:So there's, two of you?
Dark:For now, as long as we're together we can go back to normal whenever, just keep in mind that unlike normal, our mood won't change our personality, getting Light angry is literally gonna be impossible
Light:so, now we can be in two places at once
Dark:And with there being only two options, I'll be going with Yang and Neptunia
Yang:Oh, so you wanna come with us huh Dark?~
Dark:Gonna put this simply, can you imagine that*points to the ball of innocence that is Light* In a nightclub?
Neptunia:.........He has a point
Light:So I'm gonna be with Ruby and Weiss in case something happens
Ruby:Yay! Let's go!

Ruby grabs Light and Weiss, then leaves, the others look at each other and nod

With Ruby Weiss and Light

Ruby:Wow! I forgot how bug the transmit tower looks so close!
Weiss:You should see the one in Atlas
Light:Why's that?
Weiss:Because it was the first, Atlas developed the cross-continental transmit system to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after the great war
Ruby:Ooo look at me, my name is Weiss, I know facts, I'm rich!*Giggles*
Light:*Giggles*
Weiss:Don't be a pest! Besides, the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much We could've just as easily made a call from the library
Ruby:I know but it's so cool! Oh! I'm going to take a picture!

Ruby pulls out her scroll but accidentally fumbles it and drops it, causing it to bounce several times as she chases the short distance after it and Light follows, til it stops and is picked up

Penny:Oh. You dropped this
Ruby:Penny?!
Penny:Uhh...
Light:Yay! Penny!*Hugs Penny as tight as he can, which isn't much because Light has no upper body strength*
Ruby:Where have you been?! We haven't seen you since the night at the docks
Penny:S-sorry. I think you're confused*Hiccups and accidentally tosses Ruby her scroll back* Uh, I've got to go

Penny frees herself from Light's hug and starts walking away

Weiss:What was that about?
Ruby:I don't know. But I'm going to find out. You go make your call, I'll meet up with you later!
Weiss:Wait! ugh
Light:I'll just, follow them, I'd probably just get in the way of your call
