"Oh, no... Ugh! Fine, stop for God's sake!!!!!" I grunt. I'm trying to stop the alarm clock by hitting my phone again and again... The alarm clock today was like:
6.40: First day at school!!
6.50: You have to go to school!
7.00: You don't wanna be late...
7.10: Get up and go to school!!
7.15: Get your ass out of the bed and go to the damn school!
That is when I finally wake up. I get dressed and take my backpack out of the closet. When I get a dozen of pens, pencils, erasers and rulers in it, I go downstairs. Everyone is already eating breakfast but none of them was kind enough to wake me up. Miles mumbles something that probably means "Good morning", and that's what I do too. Quickly, I eat a toast and make sure I have everything ready for school. Nothing seems to be missing so I get out of the house, take my bike from the back yard and head off to school. Adele is singing "Rolling in the deep" in my headphones and 15 minutes later I am in the school yard.
"Γειά!" Hi!
"Γειά παιδιά" Hey guys
I hug all my friends, we talk about our vacation, and then we go outside the classroom to see the schedule.
"Πω, ρε έχουμε πάλι αυτό τον τύπο Λογοτεχνία;!" Oh man, we have this Literature guy again?!
He's the worst professor we could possibly have. He makes us write pages and pages on topics we don't even understand, he's obsessed with poems and every year he makes his students take a test on the first day, that is today! So now we have to spend three endless, boring hours writing his test. Well at least I'm lucky cause my best friend Mary is the best in Literature, so I basically have all the answers! It's like an agreement, she helps me in Literature and I help her in Maths and Physics. When the school is finally over we go to the park together and sit at the coffee house. Rachel, who has a part-time job there, brings us coffee and cookies and sits with us.
"So how was your first day at school?" she asks with a smile
"Well you know..." I say and she laughs
"Michael came by before and said he'd be here later and he wants to talk to you" she tells me and somehow my mood changes and I have a smile all over my face. Michael is my best friend and the experiences that bond us are really strong. Mary, Rachel and I sat there for about an hour talking. "So do you remember the plan I was talking to you about the other day?" I ask them after a while. "Well I decided to do it! I've got nothing to lose, right?" "Well good for you!" they tell me "I'm sure everything's gonna be okay" Mary says. I am relieved that they support me... "Anyway I've got to go home now, I'll come by in the afternoon" I say. I wear my headphones, ride my bike and leave.
