Sometimes, there are occurrences in life when the universe takes away what you think you need so you can receive what you actually need.

Perhaps, in my case, I have to let go of my past in order to become the person I was planned to be in the future, I thought.

"Ms. Fernandes, a penny for your thoughts?" Ma'am Gomez retrieved my consciousness as she asked with such concern.

Grabe.

Regina Robustiana Academy. An institution which achieved eminence for its population consisting of intelligent and beautiful young ladies. In short, an all-girls school.

To be completely honest, ito na ang pangatlong school na pinag-enrollan ko for my senior year.

Yung unang dalawa ay located sa Italy kung saan ako nanirahan during my childhood to teenage years. Pero wala eh, in two months, agad akong nahatulan ng expulsion sa parehas na paaralan.

Well, I can't really blame them. I mean, sino bang gustong mayroong basagulero sa puder nila? And on top of that, that rogue student is a female, a cool yet aloof girl called "me". And don't you dare tell me to calm down because I will throw a brick at your face.

My personality is 40% genetics, 40% upbringing and 20% movies. BTW, I fancy action movies, not those cheesy, cliched romantic films.

"She may be pretty but she's beyond reckless!"

Different schools, same lines, same conclusion:

LAYAS. AALIS. EXPELLED. KICK-OUT.

Kaya ayon. However, that is not my only reason for returning...

"I apologize," I fabricated my most convincing smile. "Pardon my rudeness."

"Anyway, moving on," she continued. "I'm sorry about your younger sister. My deepest condolences."

My eyes were drop-dead stern yet melancholy.
