Chapter 28: Chamber of Secrets

"Yeah,sure you do!
And hold it up to the light too.
I know you!"
He knew I was right.
And let me take the envelope and put it in my purse.
"I find it very unfair that Dr.B knows that we're officially having a girl, before I do!
I am her father!"
Dr.Bermudez was enjoying his theatrics.
She decided to mess with him a little.
"Yep, I know exactly if your wrong or right Justin.
I'm like J.K Rowling.
Your Harry Potter.
And that envelope is the
Chamber of Secrets!"
He looked at her like she was indeed,all powerful.
Little did he know, she was in on it.
The envelope didn't contain the sex of Baby Bieber.
Just a riddle of words.
If I knew Justin, he'd try and open that envelope as soon as humanly possible.
Dr.B handed me the real envelope after Justin had left the room.
"I hope you know what your doing Hailey.
That poor guy is going to bust at the seams.
My advice, don't open the envelope until your about to tell him.
Justin will sniff the truth out of you!"
I shoved the envelope into my pants and promised her that the surprise would be worth it.
Now how to keep him occupied till then, that would be the problem.

Justin's POV:
It was 5 days before Christmas, and I couldn't contain how excited I was.
I loved lying on the couch with Twinkles and just looking at our Christmas tree.
She made the best hot chocolate.
It was like crack, not that I know what cracks like.
But she would put caramel and 3 types of chocolate in it,and then top it with homemade whip cream.
Let's just say, I've gained a few sympathy pounds for my girl.
We were enjoying the hot chocolate and watching Elf.
Hailey had her head in my lap and I had my hand on her round belly.
My girl in their was active tonight.
I couldn't help but giggle everytime little miss would do an acrobatic routine across my wife's stomach.
"Hails, what does it feel like?
She's literally poking her foot out and doing a line dance in there!"
We both watched as this bump moved like a wave from one side of Hailey's belly to the other.
"It feels like an alien has invaded my body."

"Hailey! Don't call her that! She has ears you know."
I leaned down and whispered to my girl.
"Don't listen to Mommy.
Your not an alien.
Your Daddy's Princess.
Kick away baby girl."
Hailey just gave me her classic smirk.
"Boy, if she is a girl...
I'm gonna have my hands full.
Your gonna spoil her rotten and I'm gonna have to try and keep her from turning into the Willie Wonka girl.
"I want a Umpa Loompa Daddy! I want one!" You know exactly what I'm talking about Bieber!"
She had a valid point.
But I also knew I wouldn't be able to stop myself from spoiling her either.
So I responded with
"Yep."
And got a pillow to the face for it.
Soon after, Hails had fallen asleep.
I sat there thinking about that damn envelope.
I knew exactly where it was too.
In the study room safe.
I kept telling myself to let it go.
But I just couldn't.
With my hand still resting on Hailey's belly,I whispered
"What do you think lil lady?
Should I?
Kick for yes.
Don't kick for no."
My girl came through with a double kick.
"Well then it's settled! Two against one!
We win. Mom loses!"
I slowly untangled myself from my snoring wife.
Which is not easy to do when your trying to do something shady.
Every move I made was slow and exaggerated.
I tiptoed through the house til I reached the study door.
It was closed, and as I began to open it...it started to creak.
"Fuck my life! When did this damn door start making so much noise!"
I opened it enough to slip my body in and waited a second, making sure Hailey hadn't woken up.
When I heard her snore again, I knew I was golden.
I turned on the desk lamp and crouched down in front of the safe.
As I began typing in the 7 digit code, I panicked.
Each press of the buttons made a distinct beeping noise.
Every time I pressed a button, I waited to make sure she wasn't coming to bust me.
Of course I waited to long and had to re-enter the damn thing twice.
But then it opened.
And within seconds I had the precious envelope in my hands.
I really did feel like Ginny from the Harry Potter movie in this moment.
Holding my real life envelope of secrets.
"Are you really about to do this Justin?"
I was now resorting to talking to myself.
I held the envelope up to the light, just like Hails said I would do.
Nothing! Damn thing was folded inside.
"Just open it.
You can put it in another envelope afterwards.
Twinkles will never know."
This was obviously my Tom Riddle side coming out. The good me was like Ginny, but I was no match for the slytherin ways of Riddle.
I blame it on Dr.B.
After her Harry Potter reference, I went straight home and watched The Chamber of Secrets.
Thinking there may be clues in the movie.
My dark side prevailed and I ripped it open.
Taking a deep breath, I slowly unfolded the paper.
My heart was beating erratically.
It said,
"It's our choices,Justin, that show what we truly are,far more than our abilities."
I turned the paper over.
Nothing.
I'd been duped.
They were both in on it.
I was had.
Then she cleared her throat.
I didn't even have to look up.
I knew I was fucked.
"Whatcha doing there, Orge?"
She knew exactly what I was doing here.
I was afraid to look her in the eyes.
Like she would turn into the Basilisk from the movie.
"You set me up!
You knew I wouldn't be able to resist!
Your a Slytherin, Hailey!"
She slapped her hand over her mouth.
Trying to control her laughter.
"And that's why I can't even be mad at you.
But I can still tickle you to death."
She slowly walked into the room.
I had the desk between us, my only source of safety.
She got closer and closer.
In a slow a silky voice she said:
"Come. Come to me."
Then she made snake like noises:
"Sssssssssssssss"
And I ran like hell.
The night ended with me peeing my pants, no closer to the truth.
