Steve's POV:
Oh god, I feel horrible for pushing Tony like that.. I thought
I decided to go down to the lab and apologize for my words. I make sure to man up before I exit my room to downstairs. When I'm about to go into the lab, it shuts on me
"What the-?" I put my arms up in confusion
A robotic voice suddenly comes up. I know that voice anywhere, it's Jarvis
"I'm sorry sir, but Mr. Stark has informed me to not let you in until he's ready" Jarvis explains
Ready? For what? I went back upstairs to think in my room. I mean, I DID push Tony a little too far when I was arguing with him. Could that be it?
My thoughts were interrupted when my phone rings. I take it out of my pocket to discover who it is. It's Fury
"Hello?" I answer
"Captain, Barnes is arriving soon" For once, Fury actually sounds happy
"No way..." I say, immediately hanging up the phone with Fury
16 minutes later, Bucky arrives. Finally, the man I haven't seen since I was a kid
Not even a minute later when Bucky is off the plane, I run up to him. Man, I feel like a kid again for doing that
"Whoa Steve, hi" Bucky says as I hug him tight
"How was your flight?" I ask, pulling away, not wanting to make him uncomfortable
"Fine. Everyone sat on the left side of the plane to avoid me since they all knew who I was" Bucky chuckles nervously
"Who do people see you as?" I've actually never heard of what citizens think of him
Bucky is quiet for a second
"A murderer..." He mutters under his breath
I put my strong hand on his shoulder
"Hey, I will make SURE nobody thinks of you like that ever again"
"Thanks Steve" Buck says
