Earthology: My Understanding

Preface

Hello there, curious young reader, my name is Lorraine. Very nice to meet you! Before we begin, I need to explain a few things. 

I have a degree through Abide University. AU is a lovely online institution that offers honorary degrees and a platform resembling the Ancient Greek and Roman style of open learning. Right now, I have a Masters of Science in Earthology from AU, and I hope that by the time I finish this book, I will have personally earned myself a doctorate in the subject.

But what is Earthology? You may be wondering. Well that is an excellant question and one that will be answered in much more detail later in the book. For a short answer, here is the department description from AU's website: Earthology – The study of Earth and its cultures. Pretty straightforward, right?

So, on to the next point of business, why am I writing this, and why post it on Wattpad? I am using this almost as a field guide for myself. Writing down the observations I have and the expirences I encounter. It will be formatted almost like a field journal at times, as I am recording IRL then writing about it in post or present. 

I hope that whomever reads this, gleans something. Whether it laughter, knowledge, or contemplation.
