The day it happened he organised another party. I was not optimistic about it.
I was hiding in our bedroom as his guests were arriving. But he found me.
He offered me something to smoke and I considered taking it but then I thought of my baby and responded with a “No.”
“No?” he asked as a flash of anger crossed across his face. I gulped and I was afraid and I knew he knew that I was scared. He smiled. An evil smile.
He offered again but our child was not going to be harmed so again I refused.
Then I received the worst beating I had ever got from him.
