What if the world we know and inhabit in our daily day didn't stop there? What if besides the planet hearth, inside the universe more familiar as the solar system, existed a way of getting inside the other world.
Yes, that's exactly what I'm about to telling you, inside our world exist another world. The world of the magic beings, where humans with powers are born.
At this moment humans with such abilities, live both in the magic world and the normal world.
Many years ago, a gentleman named Steffen Mordway, biologist and historian, while searching for some manuscripts, given to his university by some archeologists to complete their researches. He found an important fact on parchment found inside a cave, left behind by one of the old ancient people who were studying at that time.
This scroll contained one of humanity's most important secrets.
Steffen tried to keep his research and discoveries secret, afraid that someone would find this world he had fallen in love with, and try to harm its inhabitants or destroy its natural beauty.
But all their secrecy was in vain, once the government found out, it didn't take long for the politicians to gain great greed in becoming the great kings and lords of this world.
Within the government, there was a great turmoil among all of them, the government was divided between those who wanted to conquer the world and those who wanted to leave it as it was.
Steffen fought tooth and nail to keep it as it was, and years later he regretted having discovered it.
Mordway ended up being secretly followed as he was going to visit his beloved wife, whom he found in the world of magic, but he did not know that he was being followed by the portal, and once he entered, a few more members of the government did it too. The damage done that day was incalculable and unforgettable. Inside the government, they were looking for those responsible for such damage and once they were found, each one was punished.
One of Mordway's oldest friends, Jonathan, managed to become president and he promised him that if he ever did, he would make sure that no one but a few of his workers and whom he trusted would ever enter this world.
After Jonathan rose to power, Steffen brought Alda, his wife, and their four children into the real world with him. Once their children began to show that they had magic within them, they were forbidden to speak of such a thing outside the home. They could only talk about their powers with those who also had them. But very few knew of such a thing, Steffen's study was closed to seven keys and only some of the oldest and most important agents knew about this secret and many of them took it to the grave.
Generations after generations have existed, creating a great mass of people with magic within the real world. Even today, it is forbidden to talk about such a subject with non-magical humans, thus ensuring their safety. There are schools and universities for these people so that they have the necessary follow-up and education so that they can live on an equal footing, with each other and with non-magicians.
In the forest of fear, in the world of magic, there is a group of children in their 8th year, three boys and a girl.
— Ok guys, are you seeing this? - asks one of the boys to the others, pointing to the floor. On the floor were some outlined footprints. — They are fresh footprints. Of deer, I think. - The rest look to where the boy named Zig is pointing.
— But Zig, aren't these footprints pointing to the North? - Asks Gezzo, the most fearful of the whole group. "That was what I was going to say next. - They all looked in the direction of the footprints and felt a shiver down their spines.
No one ever went north of the Forest of Fear, or no one ever came back alive. The forest smelled of death, and it was so thick that not even the sunlight kissed the ground. All life seemed to disappear, everything around was dry, and there were no flowers, there were very strange and frightening noises coming from the countryside. — So let's not go, you know why. - Gezzo crosses his arms looking at his friends. —Master Fozo has forbidden all members of the village to go to these sides, it's too dangerous. - You could feel the fear in Gezzo's voice trembles. — Well, if you don't go, I will. - said the girl, in this case Asuna. She was a very rebellious and intelligent girl for her age, and quite brave. —I'm hungry. In that village, we only eat bread and rotten cereals. There are no more animals, I would die for a good piece of meat. -
Everyone knew that Asuna was right, there was little to eat in the village, it was rarely the day that she managed to have a decent meal, it seems that over the years the forest being at the foot of the village meant that everything that was born nearby ended up for dying. The meadows and fields, once green and full of strength and life, were now dry, the fish that lived in the lake ceased to exist, and some village families too, only the memories of what the village has been left. With the lack of nutrients and proteins, many people ended up dying malnourished and many of them, since the peasant life in these parts was not decent, decided to leave the village. Only a handful of people still lived in the village and a few orphans. The village had more houses than people at this point, some without a roof, others barely standing.
Gezzo looks at everyone in the group as if he's the only one seeing the truth. —Sorry Gezzo, but I agree with Asuna.- As a last hope Gezzo looks to Jeso the last member of the group, silent most of the time. In the end, he just walked north for an answer.
Since childhood, she loved her, Mrs. Sherine, who was responsible for taking care of the orphans, told stories about the forest. The various monsters and animals that lived there, the danger of going alone and only with the permission of the master could leave the village and into the forest. In fact, the entrance was not guarded or guarded. Everyone knew it was very dangerous to go there, but the group liked to venture there, they had the freedom to play where there was no one to tell them what to do. Zigi was the leader of the group, for a child he was strong, brave and his dowry was undoubtedly hunting. Jeso was a child of few words, but he was very intelligent, he loved to read. Asuna is the friendliest and just like Zigi is brave and always ready for an adventure. And finally, Gezzo, he was always the one who was ill-tempered with everything and everyone, but he always did everything to make his friends follow the rules implemented by the master of the village.
The 4 friends headed north in hopes of getting some meat and having a meal full of protein. — Please, let's think about it. - Gezzo tried once again to change the minds of his companions. But it was silenced once Zigi raised his hand, a signal for them to stop.
Everyone was listening and attentive. In the background, there was a sound of something moving among the pastures. Zigi moves carefully so as not to make too much noise and slowly started walking, the others followed behind.
Further down, Zigi stops moving and everyone does the same, following their leader. At the far end of the clearing, a small deer could be seen grazing near what appeared to be a small pond. Zigi with all the calm in the world, throws his hand behind his back and from there takes his hunter's bow. Stretch your arm and place the arrow in position next to the bow, pull the arrow to your cheek, take a deep breath and hold your breath, aiming for the deer without ever looking away. When he feels that he is ready to drop the arrow and hit the deer, that thought is stopped by a loud noise.
A huge crocodile jumps out of the lake and with its huge open mouth launches itself against the deer, and in no time the deer is swallowed whole without leaving any evidence that it was there before. Everyone was in shock. Standing still, unable to move. Where had that animal come from, and why was it so close to the edge of the village?
—Tros said that Croc only killed deer with mint - Near the lake they hear someone talk, and instinctively the 4 hide behind a bush in hopes of not being found.
- Yes, Gnok thinks Croc will be very good at destroying villages - when they look where the voices were coming from, they notice that they were Ogres. Ogres were known for their very fluent speech, their height and the greenish color of their skin. In addition, they had a great sense of smell.
- How many human Tros do you think can fit in Cros's mouth? - laughs one of the ogres.
- Tros thinks six or five - says the other ogre very thoughtfully. And finally they give a loud laugh that echoes through the forest.
"We're going to have to get out of here," Zigi says to the rest of the group while whispering to avoid being overheard.
"Gnok smells something delicious," says one of the ogres as he sniffs the air. Soon after, the other Ogre accompanied him as they tried to understand what it was. The four friends listening to that stopped moving and breathing. They could hear the Ogres back and forth trying to discover the source of the smell. Panic set in among the friends. Until one of them looked directly to where his friends were hiding, and that's when without thinking about anything else they all started to run away.
Tell me what you think please :)
