The energy moves
The waves crash over me
And I am awash in others
Suddenly the corporeal doesn't matter
It's all color and shade,
Hue and sensation,
Flavor and smell
Everything that is otherwise phantom
Is suddenly real
And all-important
One burns hot as fire
And the heat draws me in
Makes me as a moth to flame
I am attracted
But I don't dare touch
He is wood smoke and Jack
Marijuana and tobacco
Salt, grit, and musk
And I gravitate to him
But I am afraid
Mostly of rejection
But also of acceptance
