Part 2: Injection

"Boys..." She grumbled. "You probably sell porn under the seams. Busy sex life?"

The words were slightly offensive, but understandable. "No, not really." He replied honestly. "I don't take too much pleasure in that, more so... Danganronpa, but I think I've been brainwashed because I don't like it." He sipped down the rest of his water and pushed aside his now empty plate.

"Brainwashed." Akamatsu chuckled. "Now that's a new kind of retarded."

Saihara frowned. "Maybe, but that's what it feels like." He sighed and sat back against the pillows. "I honestly can't wait until my mind is altered." A smile graces his lips. "...Thinking about the pain I might be put through to get to where I will be is exciting." A warmth spreads across his face as he imagined the burning sensation he's heard contestants experience. "Especially if I don't have to live like this anymore."

He heard her hum in agreement. "I see you have the crazy." She glanced out the large window and set her half eaten food aside. "But I get it. This world makes you love pain, until the point where you don't feel anything anymore. If my mind gets wiped to an innocent state of happy go lucky, then sure, I guess I'd rather have that than be this."

Good, something they agree on.

Just as the comfortable silence filled the room, a Danganronpa doctor came into the room. So he assumes, judging by the white lab coat and syringes on a tray in their hands. It's a woman who pushes the glasses further up the bridge of her nose. She looks between them and smiles forcefully. "Glad you two seem to be getting along! I'll be giving you two shots so your physical form is ready and prepared to spend many hours in an all body simulator."

Her words sounded all too practiced as she took her place next to Saihara's side first. She pushed up his sleeve and gave him the first injection. The needle was rather thick and not small so it didn't slip past his skin easily. It stung as she slowly injected the strange liquid. When the syringe was empty she quickly pulled it out and placed a bandaid over the spot where a single bead of blood started pooling.

They were being drugged already.

What he assumes, or at least guesses, this would slow everything down. Even by a little bit. Since in the simulation, he could be in there for either 4 hours or 2 days. 4 hours is what he thinks is the lowest amount of time they've had their characters in for. 2 days being the longest. Since legally they have to keep waking up to check vitals. Since in VR check ups don't seem to line up correctly.

He remembers the guy at the desk say something about this year being different. It might have been full body before, but not full sensitized. So this years timing might be different too.

He watched the woman inject the same fluid into Akamatsu. "How does this 'prepare' us." The skeptic tone she used was very notable. Yet the doctor ignored it. "You'll be hooked up to various machines while the simulation takes place. You won't be used to the amount of drugs, unless of course you were and still are a drug addict, but we tested for that beforehand. This gets you used to it. It also helps cope with the personality altering. Since it's irreversible."

Akamatsu raises a brow at her. "Irreversible? Hasn't there been cases where characters from the 23rd season and from the 19th season who went back to the way they were before?" Saihara looked at the doctor when she asked. It was a good question, since he hoped to never return to this mind set ever again.

"Ah..." the doctor dropped her fake smile. "Not our proudest moments. We had technical difficulties. But since improved. It won't happen again." She took the empty syringes on her tray and exited the room with another word.

He could feel himself growing more heavy. Yet it wasn't exhaustion. It must be the drug's effect. He reached over to his side desk and looked at his schedule. By tomorrow morning they'll be putting them on the prescription before they alter their minds. That will take two days to complete. Next, with their newly programmed ultimate mind sets, they will be put in the VR of the killing game simulator.
