Wounded Hearts [Yongguk Short Story] (RE-UP)

Chapter One

My name is Bang Minkyung. I am a 19 year old female college student taking a course on architecture. My love for math and minecraft has made me settle in my future dream to becoming an architect. My life is unvarnished and prosaic, like an average college student stressing over home works and projects and whatnot. In the university, I am best known for being a smartass in math, a gamer and not to mention a gangster's girlfriend.

Yes, a gangster, but he is no standard tough and mean gangster. He is my best friend, who goes to the same course and class with me. His name, Bang Yongguk.

I know, we both have 'Bang' as a last name, that makes our relationship enthralling as though no matter what, we are still together forever. But that forever wasn't as for-ever as I was expecting it to be, some things just took the subpar route and ended up poorly.

It all started when Yongguk and I confessed our love for each other. We were once best of the bestest friends in grade school up to know and gained an interest with each other. Yongguk grew tall and more manly like, not to mention more darling and caring, therefore that's what got into me, I like him. Yongguk on the other hand told me that he actually liked me starting highschool when I got back from summer camp over the summer. He told me I've gotten mature and more woman like over the pasts months, as if he hasn't seen me in years.

The time he confessed to me was when during, obviously, math class, he signalled me to go out and as soon as I went out, he dragged me all the way to the other side of the building to hide from other students and staff.

"Bang Yongguk! Why in the world are you dragging me around the campus and ended at the back of the building?!" I said angrily, but not to the highest point, I was just disarranged in thoughts and I wanted to focus in class, but he disrupted it.

"Wait... Phew the coast is clear!" he sighed and whiped his forehead. I knocked his head playfully as I was pissed.

"Please get to the point, I don't want to get caught skipping classes with you." I said worriedly because it could result to expulsion, and I don't want that to happen! I studied hard to get in here! Not to mention this is high class education already!

"I uh... Just wanted to tell you something!" he said reticently.

"Well get to the point..." I said and nodded my head, signalling him to continue.

"Well you see... I just wanted to tell you who my crush was..." OMO he has a crush? This is history, I need to know!

"GASP really?! Who is it?" I asked excitedly, seriously wanting to know who this lucky girl is!

But... This feeling of happiness... It felt like it wasn't on full power... Like I'm only 74% happy... Maybe it's because he found someone else he likes. But still, I am his friend and it shouldn't be much of a bolt from the blue that he has a crush on someone! As long as we still have a commendatory relationship, everything is fine.

"Uhh... You better not freak out alright?" is there something to be freaked out of...?

"Come on tell me! I bet professor Kang is going nuts about my whereabouts." I crossed my arms and looked at him in the eye.

"You!" he suddenly shouted at me.
