A lady was about to spill her drink on her lap without her notice while she was chit-chatting with another lady, who's probably around the same age as her; however, her coffee has seemingly lost its sense of gravity and went back on the table moment before it poured and scalded her legs.

It was because of me. I did it.

It was nothing out of ordinary, well, at least for me. This is what I usually do during my morning walks. Though for them, it might be considered freaky.

I walked past them who, that time, are still unaware of what had just happened, or should I say, what could have happened if I hadn't stop her supposedly tastful morning drink from burning her legs. Anyway, it's not my business anymore.

Ever since acquiring this ability, I was able to improve from moving things to being able to stop its motion. The thing I did just now involved 2 things. I've stopped its motion mid-air before moving it back on the table.

This ability, however, is only limited to controlling small things. I've tried moving big stuff, but it won't even budge. But after doing that, I was exhausted beyond comprehension and was sick for couple of days, so I've completely erased the thought of trying that again.

What brought this ability into existence? I don't really know. I am as clueless as you. It just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It's not that I don't like it, actually, I am happy to have this ability. Not to be eccentric, but I feel different from the rest, a very special creature in that matter.

Except from myself, no one else in the entire universe knows the ability that I hold. I am afraid that I will get myself experimented on by some mad scientists if I told others. This is such a novel case, which I am pretty sure, would pump the hell out of creeps' curiosity, so I try to keep unnoticed as much as I can.

After about an hour of walking around, I've decided to head back on my apartment. Just a normal-sized one, nothing fancy. I started to prepare for my morning class which is at 10:00 AM, exactly an hour from now.

I arrived at my school just in time. There were still plenty of time left, but looking at where my school was located, my head furrowed in confusion.

Where the heck is my school?

What the hell? I can see nothing but debris on the ground and people gathering around, gossiping, crying, and taking pictures where my school used to be.

My school is a four storey building with olf-fashioned designs. It's been here for more than a hundred years, and now it's gone. Unbelievable!

Was it demolished? Was there bombing? Just what the hell happened? I mean, a 3 hectare school can't possibly disappear in a period of one night with only several big debris left, right?

As I was wondering, one of my professors walked passed by me. I followed him and, without any greetings, asked him what happened.

"It was a f- nightmare. I was walking on the hallway heading to the faculty when someone yelled that something bizzare is happening. I looked outside the window only to see that the other parts of the school is, I know it sounds so unbelieveable, evaporating up to the sky, way past the clouds! We were lucky to get out of the school before the rest of the building flew up to the sky. I just know-I just know that this is a work of god!," he said. He was clearly hyperventilating so I assisted him and told him to calm down. Fortunately, an ambulance came to the scene right on time. I yelled at them to get their attention which it did.

They asked me what's wrong and I told them what happened. They further interrogated me, which is weird because they were supposed to take priority of someone unwell. I told them that I just came to the scene and was unsure too of what happened. It looked like it convinced them so they took my professor and give him medical attention he needed. They told me they have to bring him on the hospital for further checking.

They left instanly, as if rushing. Few minutes later, another set of paramedics came in the scene. Weird enough, their uniform is different from the first team who came in rescue before them. However I simply excuse it by thinking that maybe they're from different hospitals.

I came home after that. I still can't process what just happened. I don't know if I can believe what my professor just told me. It could be probably due to his age. I mean, things flying up to the sky? He's dilluded. But then, I can move things just with my mind. But, moving something up to the sky, and a huge school in that matter, is crazy.

I decided to call my friend and check on him . He's way more paranoid than me so I wanted to make sure he's fine.

He answered as soon as it rang. "Hey," he said. "So uhm, have you heard about what happened to Stanford Univ?" I asked. "Yeah, things are really messed up," he replied. "I know! I mean, things flying up to the sky on their own. Sounds like a fanfiction," After that, I heard him laughed on the other line. "What are you on bruh? Did you hit your head earlier in the earthquake?" I paused for seconds. "Earthquake? What are you talking about?" "Nah bruh, you must be high. An earthquake just shook us all, it's impossible you didn't feel it. I mean, just look at your phone or tv or radio or anything, it's literally the hottest topic right now"

I did as he say. News outlets are reporting about an earthquake that has an unidentified magnitude just hit my area. It was not just my school. Old libraries were destroyed too. Just what is going on? An earthquake could not possibly be the cause of all these destructions. Whatever is happening, I know something unnatural may be behind it.
