Weird Island

              So my dream starts off with me being an orphan (im not). I guess I got some parts of my dream from the movie "pippy long-stocking". Well, I walk into this orphanage which appears to be on an island. Just the orphanage, no other buildings. The room that I was directed to was a room full of girls and there were bunk beds everywhere (like in the movie "pippy long-stocking").  I pick my bed and settle in. The other girls wouldn't stop starring at me until one finlly asked "who are you?' and I said "Oh, me?' and then she laughed. I don't rememeber her face too well but I remember he hair being brown like mine and it was in two side braids. Also ALL of the girls were wearing nightgown and had candles to light the rooms besides sunlight.

             Well we all ate dinner and went back to our rooms. The orphanage was huge, just like a castle actually, and there seemed to be only women running that place. Everywhere I went there would always be about two woman walking up and down the hallways just patrolling the area. No one was allowed to leave the rooms without permission and certainly no one was allowed to go out at night. As I was getting ready for bed, I learned about that rule. The most important rule that was talked about NONSTOP was you weren't even allowed to leave the rooms at night. When I questioned one of the woman in the halls why that was a rule they just said "just to keep mischief away", but I didn't buy that. 

           That same night I waited until everyone was asleep, and then I sat up and looked around. In the corner of the room I could see someone just standing there and creepily could only see their eyes because of the moonlight. I quickly noticed that our eyes met and I heard the stranger say "you should be asleep", and I was just frozen but only for a second. The voice was a woman's voice so I know now it was a woman watching us fall asleep one by one. I said back to her "why aren't you?' and said "I need to watch you".  I asked "why?" and she said "so you don't leave", and at this point I was just so confused. What was so bad about going out at night? I blinked and then there she was, standing in front of me crouched down to my level and said "If you do not wish to sleep, fine, but stay inside" and then when I blinked again, she was gone, or at least I thought. I did see the door close before I realized I have been holding my breath. 

             Then one girl rolled over and said "that was mother, she watches us to keep us safe, so do as she says and just go to sleep", but being confused I asked "what's so bad about leaving the room at night"? She then sighed and said "if you must know, we are not allowed to leave past midnight, that is our number one rule." and then I asked "what's so bad about going out past midnight"? She rolled her eyes and just said "there is a man that mother can't get rid of, that's why she watches us, to make sure our eyes are closed". I have a confused look on my face and ask "who is the man? why does "mother" want to make sure our eyes are shut? This doesn't make sense". The girl said "we don't know who the man is but all we know is if you make eye contact with him you turn into stone. And if mother doesn't find you before sunrise, you shatter into pieces as the suns rays cast upon you". I sat there quietly for a bit, I had no idea what to think. Then the girl said "it's almost midnight anyways, so just go to bed".

              I just lay there for a few moments before I hear something from outside the door. It sounds as if someone is slightly struggling but then it just stops. Curiously I opened the door to see what happened. I stepped outside and saw no one there. So I went down the hall and down the stairs and that's when I saw them. Two woman, but they were turned into stone and still had the looking of intense struggle on there face. But when I turned around to leave, mother was there. She told me "I told you to stay in the room, but I guess you know now WHY I want you to stay in the room". I nodded my head and said "I'm sorry I left, I heard a struggle and thought someone needed help". Mother said "When you hear that struggle, DON'T OPEN THE DOOR...Did you leave the door open?' and I replied with "I don't remember". 

           She was clearly upset and dragged me back up the stairs and down the hall....sure enough, I left the door open. When we went inside, ALL of the girls were turned to stone. Mother sighed and said "It's good that I found them, but in the meantime, go park your car somewhere else". I looked confused and questioned "what car?' and she said "your car that you have parked in the front, go park it in the back." and she tosses me some keys. I said "but the car isn't mine" and she said "then why do the keys have your name on it?' 

          I was freaked out as I looked down and saw my name was indeed on these keys. Not wanting to upset mother, I went outside and sure enough...bumblebee was the only car out there. Shakily I lifted the keys and unlocked the car, and bumblebee just drove right next to me and opened the door for me. I got in and started to try and move the car....but I had no control. The car drove straight for the bridge that was above water. I felt better, since bumblebee was taking me away from the orphanage. But to my horror, bumblebee makes a B-line for the rail and drove straight off the bridge. I panicked because the windows were rolled down a bit leaving space fore water to get in. As water was practically gushing in I started to cry knowing I was going to die in this car. 

       And then I woke up! Sorry this wasn't as long as my other dream, some details have slipped from my mind so the transition of some places might be weird.
