Who Am I? ((Kaneki Ken x reader))

Chapter 2

You sat down on the side and let out a tired yawn. Rize should be here by now! It was getting pretty dark, aside from the fact that the city lights had lit up the streets like lone fireflies. You sighed, knowing there wasn't anyone in this world that would truly love you. Two pairs of footsteps and an overly-sweet voice made you smirk, knowing who it was. You slinked back into the shadows and listened.

"Um, Rize -san, do you mind if we go out together again...?"

"Well we do share similar tastes in books and are the same age..."

The sound of a train passing by immediately increased the romantic tension, making you shiver with a hint of excitement. 

"Kaneki-san..."

"Y-yes?"

"The truth is, you caught my eye. I noticed you, the way you were looking at me."

"Huh, that means your saying...?"

"Yes, I too, happened to fall head over heels for you." 

Kaneki let out a short, pleasant gasp of joy, but the sound of flesh being bitten on, was more than satisying. 

"Ah how delightfully exquisite~"

Rize had bitten Kaneki on the shoulder releasing blood and letting it drip onto his newly-bought books. 

"Do you know what I like more than books? Tearing apart human organs~" 

Rize's kagune and kakugan were already activated, crimson red tentacles released from her lower back. 

Kaneki was thrown to the walls as you heard the crack of his bones and screams of pain. You felt so lucky to be born a ghoul.

The only thing that grasped your worry were the metal poles hanging above Rize... If one of her attacks were too severe, they'd fall.

Anyway, this scene was your queue, but as you were about to help Rize mangle him, she pouted at you, telling you she wanted him all for herself. 

"Pfffft, persistent much?" You jokingly muttered under your breath, drawing circles with your feet on the dusty concrete ground. "Might as well stay here and watch!" 

That was when you made a mistake you regretted for the rest of your life.  

The metal poles hung up above Rize were suddenly loosened. Your eyes widened and your legs went numb as she was crushed by the 25 metal poles. You fell to the ground when you realised what had happened, choking back tears.

Your mind went blank as glowing blue tentacles erupted from your back. They whipped around, destroying everything in its path. Tears were now flowing freely from your (e/c) eyes, showing your rather, emotional side. 

An ambulance siren got you back into consciousness, so you ran back to Anteiku, tentacles wrapped around you like a blanket.
