These past couple days has been really hard for me the girls have been coming to check up on me everyday and I'm so grateful for that Aaron practically lives here now he hasn't left my side since we came home from the hospital. Markus has been the best he set up funeral plans but I told him to just get her cremated because I know she wouldn't want to have a big funeral she would just want it to be me and her and that's what I plan on it being me and her. School start back in a couple days and I'm really not ready but I might as well go and get it over with this my last year any ways. I was sitting on my bed watching Law&Order SVU when there was an knock on my door
"Come in" I yelled
"Hey the funeral home said that she will be ready by 5" Markus said walking in the room
"Ok thanks" I said fluffing out my pillow
"You ok" he said sitting on my bed
"Yea I'm good" I said
"Just checking you know if you want to talk I'm here" he said
"Yea I know thanks"
"You welcome baby girl" he said getting up heading towards the door
"Wait Markus" I said sitting up
"Yea" he said turning around
"Ummm the landlord called and said that if I want to go look and see if I need anything in the house before they clean it out then I can" I said looking at him
"Ok when you want to go" he said
"We can go Monday" I said looking back at the TV
"Wait don't school start back on Monday" he said
"Yea but I'm not going" I said looking at him
"Ight" he said walking out the room
Well it's 2 now so I'm going to take a little nap before I go.
Monae Pov
I was headed over to see Ashanti but my mama called and said she wanted me to come by. I think god everyday that I still have my mom in my life and that she didn't get hooked on drugs or anything like that cause I don't know if I would be able to handle it as good as Ashanti. I feel so bad for her cause she 17 and has been through more stuff than I have in my whole entire life but you would never know cause she hides it so well.
Pulling up to my mamas house I see a unfamiliar car parked in the driveway that's strange she didn't tell me she was having company I walk in the house to hear people talking
"Ma" I yell shutting the door
"In the kitchen sweetie" she yelled
As I got closer I could here a mans voice that I hadn't heard in forever but It couldn't be cause he is in Florida.
"Hey Ma who car outside" I said walking In the kitchen
"Hey beautiful" I look up to see Brian and my dad sitting at the table I couldn't even say anything i was In shock
"Well don't just stand there and look at the boy give him a hug" my dad said
I snapped out of my daze and looked Brian over he looked good his dreads got longer and he look like he been working out. He walked over to me with that big smile that I grew to love so much on his face
"Surprised to see me" he said
"Uh yea I haven't talk to you in a while" I said looking in his eyes
