Tony Stark had never been inside Peter's house. Hell, he hadn't even seen the outside of his house. When Tony had found out that Peter was Spider-Man, he had sent Happy to interrogate him about it. Happy had also always been the one to pick Peter up from his house for the internship. Tony had tried doing a background check on Peter before offering him the internship, but most of his information had been deleted from his file. Tony had assumed that Peter had hacked into and cleared his own file, seeing as some things where secrets that he most likely didn't want known. It made sense, Tony had cleared his own file when he found out that S.H.I.E.L.D could get information on him from it. To Tony, this was only more proof that Peter was worthy of an internship. He was clearly very smart.

As Tony and Peter had gotten closer, Tony had wanted to learn more about him. He didn't just want to be Peter's boss, he wanted to be a close friend, a mentor, and maybe, maybe, even a father. And so, he tried talking to Peter about his past. He told Peter about his own childhood, hoping that it would encourage Peter to talk about his. Peter had listened to Tony, helped him get through panic attacks and difficult times, but he had yet to talk about his own personal life. Tony knew that the kid trusted him, as he had assured him of many times, but it kind of bothered him that Peter couldn't trust him with this.

I mean, how bad could it be? The kid probably lived with his parents in a nice house. Typical family. Tony knew for a fact that Peter had some kind of guardian, as Happy had mentioned someone named 'May' when he had returned from meeting Peter for the first time. He had assumed that May was Peter's Mother. Tony hadn't listened then, but he really wished that he had now.

So, Tony had gotten restless. He didn't want to invade his Spider-Kids' privacy, but meeting the kids' parents was something that he shouting have already done.

And so, this is how Tony had ended up parked right outside of Peter's apartment building. He had told Happy that he could have the night off and had went to pick up Peter himself. He had gotten the address off of Happy. The first thing Tony noticed, was that Peter didn't live in a house. He lived in a small, slightly run down apartment building. Tony didn't mind this at all, he simply observed. He only hoped that Peter was safe here, some of the alleyways by the apartment building seemed sketchy.

Tony got out of his car and went into the building, checking the number that he had written on his hand. Apartment 12. They live in apartment number 12, he thought. He started walking up the stairs.

When Tony made it to Pete's doorway and had knocked, he immediately heard the sound of a loud crash right in front of the door, and a groan. He was concerned, but knew that it was most likely just Peter hanging out on the ceiling again. He liked to do that.

The door had opened to a dishelved-looking Peter, whose eyes had become saucers when he saw who was at the door.

"M-Mr. Start?" Peter said. "W-what are you d-doing here? Doesn't Ha-Happy usually pick me up?"

"Everythings' fine kid, I just thought it was about time that I met your parents. The internship can wait for today," Tony said. Peter quirked an eyebrow. "You haven't met May yet?" He asked.

Now Tony was confused, why would the kid refer to his Mom by her first name? Maybe May was a sibling, but why would a sibling be his legal guardian?

"Well, I haven't met your parents yet, I never really saw the need. But hey, I wasn't busy today and Happy deserves a day off, so why not come meet them?" He said.

"Uh, o-ok Mr. Stark. M-May is making dinner i-in the kitchen. Just a little warning though, my family might be a bit different than you're expecting," said Peter. He rubbed his palms over his jeans. Something Tony recognized as a nervous tick. Why would his family be a bit "different"? Did he have a bunch of siblings or something? 20 pets? Tony just nodded and let Peter lead him inside.
