actually i like you a lot
my heart beats fast every time i see your face
my body warms with happiness
with every joke you tell
i grin every time your name appears on my screen
but then i remember
you don't and will never feel the same way
your heart just sees me as a friend
your heart beats normally every time you're around me
you don't think twice with every touch of mine
you forget about me when you're with others
but you're my friend
although it kind of hurts
i'm grateful that even though it's all we'll ever be
we're friends
and i hope we are able to stay that way
even after all of this that i've told you
