Jisoo's Pregnancy - Part III

Start from the beginning

Jennie's enthusiasm fueled her, particularly in the last few weeks, when it was almost becoming unbearable. Constantly achy, constantly in pain, and too heavy to do a damn thing about it. It wasn't easy, by any stretch of the imagination.

But for Jennie?

She'd do it again, and again.

"Thank you." Jennie offered, in the most sincere and soft way, tilting her head slightly.

Jisoo could tell, even with only two simple words, the intensity of the gratitude Jennie was trying to convey.

"Get comfy with me." Jisoo demanded, leaning back. "I've missed you."

Jennie chuckled. "While I went to make a salad?"

"Mmm. Far too long." Jisoo teased, sighing in comfort when Jennie wrapped her arms around her.

They sat together in silence, simply enjoying each other's level breathing, resting their hands on the swell of Jisoo's baby bump, so large now that Jennie could barely believe it.

"Can you believe we're here?" Jisoo reminisced, eyes falling back to the book that was in her hands, now sitting beside her.

Jennie shook her head, tracing Jisoo's gaze. "Is that the YG High yearbook?"

Jisoo chuckled. "Yup. Senior year. I was just...looking back at some old photos."

Jennie wore a little smirk. "We made many appearances in that, if I'm remembering correctly."

"Well. Someone did." Jisoo snorted. "I think every girl on the yearbook team had it bad for you. You're on the cover page. And every page after. You're even on the faculty page."

Jennie's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Your girlfriend was a superstar, Jisoo. What can I say?" She grinned when Jisoo playfully slapped her arm, rolling her eyes.

"Luckily for you, about half the pictures also feature me, so...I'll let you off the hook for it." Jisoo teased. She flipped to a page she'd been holding, and Jennie's eyes fell on the photo she'd been looking at.

Someone had snapped the exact moment when Jennie had swept Jisoo off her feet, (literally), after Jisoo had surprised her with her parents.

The two were spinning, a blur of love, youth, and passion, and it was clear to anyone with eyes that they would be together for as long as they possibly could.

Jennie smiled fondly at the picture, and then up at her wife.

Jisoo Kim.

This woman had proven, time and time again, that she was willing to go to any length for Jennie. From confronting her terrifying parents, to carrying her baby.

Jennie knew it wasn't possible to love Jisoo any more than she already did.

Jisoo was everything to her, and she was ecstatic to be the one Jisoo chose to spend her life with.

And words couldn't describe how purely giddy and excited she was for the baby to arrive.

"I remember how happy I was." Jennie mused softly. "I never expected that. I was guilty for what happened with Dax, and then you taking the blame...I'd been trying to get a hold of my parents. And you went and did that. And you handled them, Jisoo." Jennie chuckled out in amazement. "That was the tipping point, for me. I mean, I was already in love with you, but that...fire." Jennie drawled.

Jisoo was blushing furiously, ducking her head. "I just did what had to be done. And besides, I wanted to make you happy."

"You've made me happy long before that and every day since."
