Figures draped in white ran around the room, checking knobs and meters as a metallic silhouette loomed over them. The contraption pulsed with energy as one figure slowly approached it. His lips formed a small smirk as he gazed upon the machine.
"Haru," the name escaped his lips as a device attached to his wrist comes to life.
A hologram of a middle aged woman appears beside him, her bluish glow illuminating everything in her general vicinity. "Yes Director?" She asks cheerfully.
The man turns to her as the blue light reflects off of his platinum blonde hair. His deep blue eyes locking onto her and he smiles slightly. "Notify the VP that it is nearly complete," he says as he starts to move towards the doorway.
"Understood," Haru says as she starts accessing a laptop.
"Oh, also," he says and pauses, turning to face her once more. "You might want to dress up for tonight."
"Why sir?" Haru asks as she tilts her head to look at him.
"Because," Arthur says and smirks. "We're going to a little party." He waves and walks through the passageway and out of sight.
